I have a query about settlement funds. I declare $22,000 into my application. Is it alright that I will use some of it, say $2000 and return it on the next 5 days? Some say that it's alright as long as you can show the money if the VO will ask for it in the later stage.

About your second query, I don't know the answer. I think magistrate or DC can take oath and notary public cannot take oath. For confirmation about our legal system on oath, you can talk with LLB student or lawyer.

Its no problem provided you have the POF for your family size by the time they ask for updates.
5 days is too short for any issue to happen in POF fund......just make sure you you have the POF for your family size by the time they will ask for updates....possibly after AOR or just before your medicals.

What is your family size?

WES evaluation is required only for getting marks. As you got MBA from Canada and for completing the Master's degree, you will get 23 points; you can do WES evaluation for your Engg Degree but it will not give you any additional points. Still if you want to assess Engg Degree, your transcript must be stamped and verified by theController of Examination. You can visit here for details against your country: http://www.wes.org/ca/fswp/requireddocuments/index.asp .

You are qualified provided your Job descriptions matched you intended NOC.
There are other factors like Age,years of experience,proof of english that needs to be taken into consideration.

Hi Guys,

I am traveling to Canada as a skilled worker in July 2014. I am planning to apply for PR and have all the documents ready with me except settlement funds.

Once I land in Canada I can apply for PR without funds proof, but I worried if the celling will reach by then. So I want to apply now itself from India.

My question is, since I don't have enough funds can I provide property document worth of 40000CAD and will attach the copy of my visa, work permit, offer from my company (in Canada) as supporting documents? Also will write a declaration letter stating that I will land in Canada by July 14 and request them to exempt me from settlement funds requirement.

In this case will they accept my application? If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Hi, is it necessary to provide our National ID details? If yes do we need to translate it? As date of issue and some other information is in native language.

You only need it for degree/certificates awarded outside Canada.

As far as I know from the guide section on funds, you dont need to show proof of funds. Check the below note from the Funds requirement section:


Do you have sufficient funds?

Note: Persons with arranged employment in Canada who are already authorized to work in Canada on a work permit do not have to meet the minimum funds requirement.

Thanks but i am confused here -

1. I have my last degree m.b.a from canada, is it enough to apply for the application as Century mentioned, that will give me 23 points ?
I am not aware of this point system, can you please provide a link.

2. Rest of my certifications have not gone through WES, i am confused whether my MBA is fine enough to leave WES and file for application or should i still send the rest of 10th - Engg. certifications through WES to get that receipt for CIC filing. ?

I am confused on what should i do next, right now i have -

1. My IELTS is done and recent score 8
2. My M.B.A degree transcript can come from Canadian university.
3. I can get all letters for work needed

Does this mean, i still need to submit my 10th - Engg Marksheets for ECA and file my MBA degree separately ?
