Hi Guys,

I am traveling to Canada as a skilled worker in July 2014. I am planning to apply for PR and have all the documents ready with me except settlement funds.

Once I land in Canada I can apply for PR without funds proof, but I worried if the celling will reach by then. So I want to apply now itself from India.

My question is, since I don't have enough funds can I provide property document worth of 40000CAD and will attach the copy of my visa, work permit, offer from my company (in Canada) as supporting documents? Also will write a declaration letter stating that I will land in Canada by July 14 and request them to exempt me from settlement funds requirement.

In this case will they accept my application? If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Do you have valid Job offer (with LMO)? if yes you dont need to show funds and also the CAP does not matter. you can just apply for PR.

My husband holds a Canadian Bachelor Degree, and we have sent the non-notarized copy together with the transcripts to the office since it's in English.

Thats ok.
I assumed you just submit your application.
To be frank,you have nothing to worry....but after you PERs mail and AOR,ensure that you have the amount in your account pending when local V.O may ask for updates.
Asking for updates is not for everybody but just be prepared.

Post your count, maybe there was a mistake?

It comes out to be 68 now! I counted 20 for 8 IELTS band whereas in another thread a friend mentioned it should be 24. So now it stands at 68. Still bit confused about my funds and property. I have very very less funds. :'(

need your advise regarding the investments. I am planning to show my bank balance as Rs. 8 lacs (myself and spouse) as per the CIC requirements to process the application form.. however, would like to know whether i can use these funds in the interim period i.e. till the time i receive my PR in hand or do i need to block these entire 8 lacs which cannot be utilised for any other purposes?

appreciate your assistance as i am a beginner.

Question: Does title matter even inside a NOC for evaluation? What's the purpose of "Nominated Occupation" in 12a?

NOC 2171 has 4 DIFFERENT main duties/criteria to evalualte 4 different categories:

1. Business System Analysts
2. Systems Security Analysts
3. Quality Assurance Analysts
4. Systems Auditors

In Question 12a: NOC = 2171 and Nominated Occupation = Business Analyst

My Carear history ... different titles but same job role:

1. Business Analyst - it will be evaluated with the information of Category 1 (Business System Analyst)

2. Quality Assurance Lead - will it be evaluated with the information of Category 1 (Business System Analyst) OR Category 3 (Quality Assurance Analyst)?

2. Rest of my certifications have not gone through WES, i am confused whether my MBA is fine enough to leave WES and file for application or should i still send the rest of 10th - Engg. certifications through WES to get that receipt for CIC filing. ?

I am confused on what should i do next, right now i have -

1. My IELTS is done and recent score 8
2. My M.B.A degree transcript can come from Canadian university.
3. I can get all letters for work needed

University-level credential at the Master’s level OR an entry-to-practice professional degree. CIC only accepts as an entry-to-practice professional degree, those degrees issued in relation to an occupation listed at NOC Skill level A and for which licensing by a provincial regulatory body is required, in one of the following fields of study: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine; Dentistry; Podiatry; Optometry; Law;

Calm down and let us interpret the instruction.
ECA is only requested for education degrees obtained outside canada.
I assumed you Masters in Canada is what you want CIC to use to evaluate your application.
In that case,you dont need to do evaluation for it because its already a canadian degree.
If you decide not to use your Masters for your application and you decide to use you Bsc which was obtained outside canada,you MUST do ECA for it to get 21points.
My advice for you is that....Use your masters degree for your application as you wont have to do ECA.
All you need to do to proof your education status in your package is include a photocopy of your Msc degree certificates and Transcripts....PERIOD...you are good to go.

Summary....if you Masters was acquired in canada...you dont need to do ECA.
If its acquired outside Canada,You MUST do ECA.

You dont need to block it.
Once you use it for application now....you may still use part of it.
I will strongly advise you accumulate it back after you AOR....since your V.O may ask for updates anytime.

Hi, is it necessary to provide our National ID details? If yes do we need to translate it? As date of issue and some other information is in native language.

Yes, you should provide NID; remember that your passport also got you NID number. On expiry date, keep the field blank while filling the form.

I have not done translation as key information are also given in English.
