Hi All,

I am all ready with application and was expecting results of IELTS today.

But today morning i got mail with below content:

"Please be advised that there will be a delay in issuing your IELTS test result until IELTS results integrity processes have been completed"

Seems IELTS results have been delayed and when i called customer care they said we are trying to announce soon but it may take 1-2 weeks as well. :(

Anyone else also received such mail?

Please advise.

Thanks

Hi,

For proof of funds is it fine that I have $16,000 CAD bank fixed deposits, which are only a month old at the time of application?

CIC did not gave any restriction about how old should be settlement fund. So 1 month old fixed deposit will be acceptable but don't withdraw this before your whole immigration process completed. VO might ask evidence anytime.

I think it will be reached by Monday as DHL takes 2 business days from Ontario departed service area..

My documents have departed from the Facility in Ontario Service Area (DHL) since May 22 (thursday), 12:20 PM. Until now, there's no update from the DHL tracking.

Does anyone here have the same situation?

To experts, do you think my documents will reach CIC on May 23 (Friday) before the office closes on weekend? I really hope that my docs will not be stuck with DHL this weekend. Everyday counts!

There is nothing you can do as the result has been randomly picked for quality assurance. Just hope and pray they release it on time for your use.

how to write "till date" in background declaration form

I don't think it will impact you at all.. so long as you meet Eligibility Criteria.
To play safe, I would suggest that raise the amount of Settlement Funds you show in your Application From 3. make it much more than your reqd threshold say, 20000 CAD$ :)

good luck !

U can type in 2014/05 from computer

or else you need to print it first and then write by pen.

First option is better

Hello everyone,

I have one question related to WES.
While i was filling the online application, i was asked in Education tab regarding Institution Type,
I am not sure what to fill from drop down box?

There are four choices:

1) Higher Education
2) Health Professional
3) State Board of Technical Education
4) Secondary Education

I have completed my Bachelor of Engineering from one of the reputed university in Gujarat, India.
So, it could be either 1 or 3. But, i am not sure.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Any input on this?

Hi,

I have some query related to maintaining funds in my account. I'm married and so i need to maintain a fund of $14,720 in my account, at present i do not have that, so can i
1) Open a joint account with my father and ask him to put money in that joint account. Is this acceptted by CIC?
2) How long i need to maintain that balance, throught the application process?

TIA

Hi Guys,

I am traveling to Canada as a skilled worker in July 2014. I am planning to apply for PR and have all the documents ready with me except settlement funds.

Once I land in Canada I can apply for PR without funds proof, but I worried if the celling will reach by then. So I want to apply now itself from India.

My question is, since I don't have enough funds can I provide property document worth of 40000CAD and will attach the copy of my visa, work permit, offer from my company (in Canada) as supporting documents? Also will write a declaration letter stating that I will land in Canada by July 14 and request them to exempt me from settlement funds requirement.

In this case will they accept my application? If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Regards,
Snowboy

1. No you need to maintain funds in your own individual account or joint account with your spouse.. This is only acceptable..
2. Yes you need to maintain it until you Decision is made

1. NO

2. It doesn't have any duration. It is advisable you keep the fund in as long as the application process

1.The account needs to be in your name.
I will suggest you transfer the fund from your dad's account into your account and make a bank certificate to include in your application.Joint account with your spouse is acceptable but definately not with you dad.

2.You are actually expected to have that cash available with you prior to landing in Canada. At the application stage now,you can just do well with the bank certificate. As soon as you get your PERs mail,I suggest you seriously start saving into your account pending when an updates will be asked from you during your medicals or so.
Cheers!
