Try to get it from university or from your supervisor a separate letter stating your roles and responsibilities.

I already try to get it from university but they didn't give it to me. The experience letter was belongs to the period which I had
a Master Degree after that I got a Phd Degree in another country and I am a Post-Doctoral Researcher now in that country. My
supervisor also didn't accept to give me any letter that I worked with him during Phd and Post-Doctoral because I achieved to new
theory and he scares that I go to another country. Although I got awards and my name was establish as a research scientist, he refused to give me any letter. Please help me what do I do? Although I worked so hard both at my university as a lecturer, and the other university as a Phd and now as a Post-Doctoral,I am really became helpless :-X.
Please my dear friends help me and show a way to me for the above issue :-[.

Since I have Japanese BC, I shall be getting it

translated into English and
get an affidavit from the person who completes the translation; and
also get a certified copy of the original document from him.

But then what should this affidavit read? Any sample format anyone can share or could think of ?

I can think of like this:

concerning to work experience certificate, i have two questions.
m a bit confused, please help. my noc is 2173.

1. do we need to write it more specifically (like client's company name or the technology we use)?
or it's just a general duties and responsibilities descriptions? I prefer writing general duties and responsibilities descriptions
2. i have been working at the same company(same department & job title) for more than 6 years.
i found that more than 90% of my job experience match the noc 2173 descriptions.
is it a problem? No, it should not be a problem.

Nobody knows how the officers work....as for me,I gave my personal experience.
For me,there is no harm in including the old passport and subsequently write a cover letter to explain it.
My application wasn't delayed....rather,the interval between the date my application was received and my PERS mail receipt date was 20days.
It worked for me.

Dear Brothers,

Its totally optional and in my sense its a bit unnecessary thing...

Coz its a very simple thing that whose IELTS Passport info is different from the given applicants current Passport info, CIC will easily assume that his PP has changed and will seek the old PP info on this given current PP.

Since all of the current PP contains the old PP number (if applicable)...

So its not a matter of worry and not recommended from my side --to send additional papers like old PP Photocopy and cover letter....

As far as experience letter is concerned, if it describes your roles within last ten years and cover for the period of at least one year, it should work. Also attach your awards certificate on research - they valued it very much.

you have to wait in that case as they r getting high volume of evaluations... my doc reached on 29th april and thy completed on 13th May...

In everything is fine , then u will get the evaluation done and they will start to courier before this day ....

Out thread member, Abnormaldehyde has the same scenario... His stated date was 21st May...But already couriered...

I applied today to get it updated but it will take at least 15 working days, which would mean I have to wait until mid June to submit application to 2171. Now my question is, should I wait on updated version and risk cap full or would it be OK to send what I have without father's name? Is it even that critical to have father's name on birth certificate?

Along with what Century said, You MUST get an affidavit

In tht case u take either affidavit or check below:

"Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words

We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained.

So 10th standard school certificate or an affidavit containing applicants name, date of birth and Parent/Parents name should be fine in lieu of a birth certificate. Also you must give reason in a cover letter why you were not able to provide birth certificate and that you are providing 10th standard school certificate / affidavit in lieu of birth certificate."
