Hello guys,
just stumbled on this forum now and joined it is really informative. Please i need information urgently.
my questions are:
1.Is it possible to send a completed application with incomplete documents (IELTS) to CIC to ensure
application is received before the CAP is filled?
2. I live in Australia and my spouse lives and works in Nigeria and i want to apply with her as the principal applicant which visa office will i select and which country's self addressed stamped envelop will i send with the application?
3. Please can those who have applied help me with a sample of their work experience recommendation letter format?

Thank you in anticipation and wish ya'l the best.

1. You must send in a complete application or it will be rejected. The only thing you can leave until later are the PCCs.

2. If your wife is the principal applicant and she lives and works in Nigeria you may need the local visa office covering Nigeria. You can use CIC's interactive map to determine the appropriate visa office: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-map.asp

1.It will amount to a waste of resources sending application with incomplete documents

. Your visa office is right there in Sydney Australia. Sef addresed LABEL (You are not sending a self addressed stamped envelop)is to be addressed to yourself

I disagree. If his wife (the principal applicant) has been working and living in Nigeria for more than one year, the office is Accra.

They take 24-48 hours to update status, so they will update the same till Monday or Tuesday.

Will I get an email alert from them informing the status change or do I have to keep my one eye here(my WES account) to notice it myself?

A friend asking:
- Hes sent english translations
- Certified copy of original of native language docs
But...
- Photocopy of the Affidavit instead of the original one. I read guidance and its not entirely clear if this is a big mistake or a non-issue.

Any opinions on this?

The guide doesn't explicitly say but an affidavit usually is not valid unless it is an original.

Can my spouse and myself send in separate applications for different NOCs (based on individual work experience).

We have work experience in two different NOCs, hence asking.

Yes

OK, i have the same scenario with some of the friends discussing above.

My old passport has expired with which i had my IELTS. So what i have to do is, just provide my IELTS original score sheet with copies of old and new passports together. and its not necessary to attach a cover letter explaining the situation (isn't is??)

Dear Ashif/admin, plz justify ......

You can never go wrong with a thorough explanation.

Hii i need a advise for my fried who' all duties match in noc 0111 financial manager but he has reference letter for the post of Assistant Manager Operation and this designation is not in job title given in that noc..
Please help what to do...

What matters is whether the duties as described in the employment reference letter match the description in the NOC. Actual job title is irrelevant.

To FUTURE_CANADIAN...

Thanks for your reply...things might b easy everywhere else...but wonders happen in this part of the world....Now I GUess I ve to go to my INSTITUTE to expedite the proceedings... anyway..lets see...

By d way...DO I NEED TO SEND THE " WES TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM" along with the other docs???

Guys, since so many things needs to be mentioned on the reference letter from Employer , is it ok to have a separate letter
from Finance department stating salary details only on company letterhead?

Other employment related details(Except salary information) I will request them to mention on the reference letter.is it ok?

I have never heard of a two page reference letter , and I feel so many details can't be accommodated in one page.

Please advise.

I had a 5 page reference letter. What's wrong with it?

If for some reason you cannot get all the required information into one letter you can provide 2, but why separate them when you can provide exactly what CIC is asking for?

Rohit,
It is advisable to put UCI as it remains same for lifetime ....so don't worry even if you deliberately omit to put , CIO will find your last time details by matching your passport details n will assign you same UCI number....just relax and wait for action....

Hi migratecanada2012

going by what you have suggested... would there be a problem if I have changed the NOC of one job responsibility ?

I mean for example I had shown last year as following:

Current employment (duration- 5 yrs)- NOC xyz
Previous employment (Duration- 2.5 yrs) - Out of 2.5 yrs 1.5 yrs spent doing NOC 1112 (last year applied on this behalf and provided the Reference letter for this company)
Previous employment (Duration- 1 yr) - This job was in Advertising but consultant put a wrong NOC (which I got to know while applying this year)

Now this year As in the current employment I am handling the same responsibilities as NOC 1112, following changes were made:

Current employment (duration- 6 yrs)- NOC 1112 (This year I sent a reference letter for this employment as well giving job duties of NOC 1112)
Previous employment (Duration- 2.5 yrs) - Same as last year with same ref latter describing job duties of NOC 1112
Previous employment (Duration- 1 yrs) - this time I changed the NOC matching Advertising.

Now would this thing will make a difference?
