Thanx buddy, I ll also do the same.
Attach old and new copies of passport and write a cover letter with reasons.

And one more thing, do I need to attach (with notarization) all the pages of passport that includes visa or just we need the identification page ?
Identification page.

Hi, on 2nd May 2014 I, the primary applicant, sent an application for Canadian permanent residency under Federal skilled worker program. My application reached CIC office, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada on May 7th 2014.

Couple of days back, while I was going through a copy of my application, I noticed an error I made in my application form. On the "GENERIC APPLICATION FORM FOR CANADA IMM0008ENU_2D", Page 1, under preferred interview language, instead of mentioning "ENGLISH" I mentioned "EASTERN ARMENIAN" by mistake. Although I correctly chose preferred language of correspondence as "ENGLISH"

Will my application be rejected for this typo?

If not, how can I inform the authorities to consider my preferred interview language as ENGLISH and not EASTERN ARMENIAN?

All my supporting documents, my IELTS, my education credentials reflect that ENGLISH is the most preferred language I would chose to speak in any interview. Wouldn't the authorities understand that it is a genuine typo and will ignore the error?

   :mad:Hi Wael.ot,

Please read carefully on What "Faithful100" has written.

Without present local legal permit, How can fill the Start and End date of current country of residence?
Without this the "Validate" will not be successful. Without validation CIC will not accept generic IMM008 form.
Thats the end of Story.

If the old permit dates are entered(which expired last year) and validation is done, Be in VO place and think,
Would you ever accept them being more than six months old?
Now this is applicable to people who are away from the country of nationality atleast for six months/year.
If her husband get Business Permit after 3 months from now, How can VO be informed on this? If her husband is not working currently(presumably), How can it be proved latter with addendum documentation? It's complicated right?

So, my advice to you, Please ask basic probing questions, get the information and advice.
I already sense that "faithful100" is a little worried, with repetition of messages(Presumably)
So, Please Do not advise in a Jiffy, without knowing the relevant information.
Not true. As long as her husband hasn't violated any immigration laws in South Africa he is fine. If South Africa allows him to stay while his extension is being processed, he can just submit his old visa copies and receipts showing his extension application is underway and then provide updates as and when requested by the local VO. In this case the correct answer for dates of visa status on the generic immigration form are "to present" which can't be filled out in the form anyway. (The proper solution here is to enter the day after the form is validated and attach an annexure stating that the date is intended to convey "to present." The form actually will not validate if any dates entered on the form are the same as the day of validation. Weird glitch.)

On the other hand, if her husband is in violation of South African immigration law and is subject to removal, that's a problem and would have to be disclosed on the application.

Guys, since so many things needs to be mentioned on the reference letter from Employer , is it ok to have a separate letter
from Finance department stating salary details only on company letterhead?

Other employment related details(Except salary information) I will request them to mention on the reference letter.is it ok?

I have never heard of a two page reference letter , and I feel so many details can't be accommodated in one page.

Please advise.
Cic did not specify the number of pages but I'm sure cic specified that salary details should be mentioned in the reference letter.
My reference letter is two pages.
Besides,it's cic specifications and instructions that matters.....not what you have heard before.
Cheers!

You have to go to the nearest Passport Sheba Kendra (can't remember the exact name). The website here describe step by step approach: http://www.wikihow.com/Apply-for-the-Police-Clearance-Certificate-in-India

LOL. I think it is not a big issue at all. After your file moves into VO, just communicate them. Relax till then.

Question for senior members/ those who went through the FSW process in 2013:

I was just browsing the FSW 2013 spreadsheet, and I noticed that several members that year have had their visa interviews waived. Under what circumstances does the VO waive visa interviews?
CIC publishes guidelines about this. The FSW process is designed for reviewers to get the information they need without interviews. Typically interviews are only required if the reviewer has questions about the authenticity of documents or truthfulness or completeness of the information provided, doubts about the ability of an applicant to establish him/herself economically in Canada, or to detect fraud. Interviews are NOT used to assess language ability. Interview waivers are common. Interviews are more commonly required for applicants from countries with high rates of immigration fraud. Typically, applications whose interviews are waived are more likely to be granted the visa, but that is not a hard and fast rule. It is completely up to the local visa office reviewers whether to hold an interview or not. Assuming you have been honest, an interview is nothing to be afraid of, but the best way to avoid one is to be thorough, complete and clear in your application materials.

ok, thanks for the reply.
but if my job description for those 5 years is more matching with 2174, can I just write it under 2171?
No, you must enter the NOC that actually matches your occupational duties. Of course there may be a difference of opinion about which NOC best describes a person's duties, but the job descriptions in your reference letters will be used to determine which NOC you are in. It won't look good if you are applying under one NOC and the reviewer thinks you are in a different NOC so do an honest assessment of where you fit best.

Thanks a ton century... All doubts sorted ...just one left. What do I do regarding assets ? Coz if I show just liabilities n settlement funds...then my liabilities are way more. Only if I show the property value...liabilities get covered.

TO MR. RAMGHARIA

Thanks for showing light of hope. I am in a huge dilemma now.... As I am in Bangladesh, but my educational Institute in INDIA....and I can't go to my institute within a short time...so for WES applications purpose I m kind of skeptical...I DO HAVE THE OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT in SEALED ENVELOPE of my institute ( NIT DURGAPUR) and Photocopy of my degree certificate can be made any time as I have the original.
The thing I am confused about is....DO I SEND THESE TWO DOCUMENTS Straight away.?? or do i need to request my institute to send official docs on my request ( UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN !)

there is a form called "INTERNATIONAL TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM" from the WES ,which is to signed by me and then the OFFICIALS OF MY INSTITUTE ....is it required to b included in the docs. to be sent?

Somebody said, This form is optional.
So, now if I send the sealed transcript and the photocopy of my Degree Certi ( not attested) ,will they accept??

Sorry for bothering for d same topic.
Contact them to be sure whether they will accept it. Typically they want a transcript sent directly from the institution.

Why can't you remotely request that your institution send out your transcript and pay the fee if any? Educational institutions around the world understand that proof of degrees/transcripts frequently must be provided. I don't know how things work in India but I've never heard of a school anywhere that won't send out a transcript. Why not see what you can get done.
