Hi,

In case employer is not giving Reference letter with Job duties, can I take a reference letter from my colleague on a plain paper with his contact details, who is at same or level than me. Taking letter from a Manager / Supervisor would be ideal but it could be damage the internal growth prospects.

pls advise

Try to get it on Company Letter Head.

Welcome to the forum.
Since you report to the General Manager directly,he is to sign your Letter of reference.Just draft it for him with all the Job descriptions and details expected on it for him to sign off.
On your second request,The instruction does not say its mandatory to submit payslips....its advisable if you have it but if you don't have it ,no problem.
Just indicate your salary details and other things needed in the letter. If you have employment letter, you may include it.
You can submit your official ID copy, visiting card too.You do not need to submit another letter as a proof of salary because you have made mention of your salary in the LOR.
Remember, the LOR should be in your company's letter head/pad,signed and dated by your General Manager.
I directly report to my Managing director too in my company and he was the one that sign my LOR...and it was accepted.

I also PMed you...try and respond and send PM to forumites of your choice.
Cheers.

Thanks for the prompt reply. So in my case it is only LOR, ID and visiting card.

Is there any issue if I submit my Job experience/reference letter which was issued during my last working day with that company (7 years back). the line managers signature, date and letter issuing date indicates that time. Is it any problem?

or I should issue a new Reference letter from my old company. Though it will a hard work for me and also time consuming. please advice.

"Received Documents Awaiting Verification" The document was received and WES has requested further verification from the issuing institution. WES is waiting for the institution's response. WES reserves the right to verify the authenticity of the documents that it receives.

Are they verifying from the university officials....I called up the university and they said that they have not recieved any request from WES yet....Can you please comment on the above status and give ur opinion about it....!!!!!

Yes they verifies from universities.

Hi all,

I have already applied for the fsw2014.
My question is; during this waiting period, can I (or any of my family member) apply for touristic visa to Canada?
Does it affect my immigration process? or does my fsw application affect the touristic visa application?

Best regards

spesus

No it will not effect. But remember fill the form information that you filled at the time of FSW application. They will cross check both.

Yes....since that is what is available.
Remember, the LOR is the most important as it has to be in the right format and contain the expected details in it.
Also,it has to be on your company pad, signed and dated by your G.M.

Cheers!

Deal all,

Greetings! I am new to this forum. I am preparing for FSW under NOC 2281. I am an "IT Specialist" at a local private company in Bangladesh. As per my office organogram, my immediate supervisor is General Manager but as I am the most senior employee of the IT dept. I report directly to the Managing Director. My question is that, from whom should I issue my LOR?

Another problem in my company is that they give me salary against cash. No pay slips, no salary account. There is some TAX related problems in the company so they might not be willing to give me pay slips. If my LOR indicates my salary should I have to submit pay slips? Please help me with the Employer part. What documents should I submit? I can submit LOR, different letter on the company pad as a proof of salary, my official ID copy, visiting card. Are these enough? Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

P.S. Ashif bhai I wanted to PM you but couldn't. please tell me how can I contact you. Thanks

Go with Reference letter and appointment letter. Pay slips are not necessary. Company must mention job duties pay etc etc on reference. letter. it is sufficient.

@ ss1982

You know your situation better than me, but in my case

After facing initial hurdles in obtaining reference letter I explained them that its a very slow process, which may take upto 3-4 years and even after that you have more than a year to land etc etc. It all depends how updated your manager is, if he knows abt guys who applied in 2008-10 he will definatly believe you and easily provide the letter. :)

Tell them its more like getting in the queue for a ticket rather than out of the company

Since there is possibility of you claiming points from it,I think its better to take the pain to get a new one.
I'm also sure that the letter of reference you are referring to may not contain all the necessary requirements as stated in the Document check-list.
You may not worry if you are not claiming point on the affected Job details.

Cheers!

Dear Experts, i have i question from a friend of mine.
Does it matter, if LOR is signed by Company HR rather than his department Superior?

Hi guys,

I am from india. My brother has done 2 years ITI course in Refrigeration and Airconditioning followed by a diploma in Mech. Engineering. Diploma is normally of 3 years but since he already had 2 years ITI certificate, he got direct admission to second year. So for him duration of diploma was 2 years.

He has done these courses after 10th std.

How many point do you think will he get?

Thanks

No worries at all. Signing authority can be HR or Supervisor.
