My application package reached 1st May. While reviewing my application package, noted that I missed to write my name (with pen) on the very last page of IMM008 (Generic Appplication form). Form is signed and dated but just missed this one thing.

Does anyone in the forum having any such experience as to what can be the impact of this mistake on processing of my application?

This is very tricky, because I myself have 2 earlier jobs , both less than a year. In my current job i have been for 4 years . so I fall in3-4 years ie. 11 points so still break threshold of 67 points. I have discarded experience of 2 earlier jobs, eventhough for both I have submitted reference letters. But CIC has stressed on 1 year continuous expereince.

I guess in my case, I can claim only 11 points, both with or without 1st job experience. So, similar to you I would submit reference letter for it anyway.

By the way, for proof of funds, do I need to get some special letter from my bank(s) or photocopies/print-out of my savings account & fixed deposits stamped by bank would be sufficient?

Admin,

Please update the App received date on the spreadsheet for my entry.

Forum Profile Name: GS80 (As in Spreadsheet)
Application Received Date: 08.05.2014 at 13.05 signed by JASON.

Also I have doubt regarding my Job description of NOC 2132 i.e. Mechanical Engineer.
My current job profile is Noise, Vibration & Vehicle Dynamics Engineer. This work is basically more of Research & Development side of a mechanical engineer while the NOC site lists the main duties of a engineer working in a manufacturing unit. So will my application be rejected?
Job roles Mentioned in my Application is:
a) In-Vehicle Noise & Vibration Testing
b) Vehicle Pass-by Noise Testing
c) Tyre Noise Simulation & Optimization
d) Currently working on Modal Analysis of Tyres
e) Vehicle Handling Testing
f) Dynamic Tyre Testing at On-Level Flat-Trac Machine

Also is it possible to track whether your Bank Demand draft has been encashed or not?

Members please do provide your valuable suggestions.

Advice is ot take the balance certificate from your bank/s and also give photocopies/print-out of my savings account & fixed deposits stamped .

I have similar situation that I have MS assessment from WES but I did not get my Bachelor degree assessed, I'm totally confused by now after reading forum replies, someone says you need to get ECP for all post-secondary educations others say no, only highest degree is enough. CIC website says nothing about this matter. Plz seniors clarify this as time is running. :)

ECA is only required for claiming points.

To prove your educations, you need to supply (notarized) photocopies of transcript/certificates starting from class 10. I suggest you read the relevant section of document checklist.

Hi guys

My highest degree is Masters and got ECA done for the same with Canadian equivalency-Masters confirmed by WES.
My question is do i need to do ECA now for bachelors also.please advise.

Regards

Not required. Because you will get points only for highest qualification.

Hello All,
I have been analyzing the spreadsheet and was wondering about a few things. I think this is a relevant post since many of you have queried as to what people's estimates are with respect to the number of applications received so far. Here are the things that I noted and have been wondering about:
1) Financial and Investment Analysts (NOC 1112) was a “hot” occupation last year and appears to be one of the most nominated occupations this year as well. However, Auditors and Accountants (NOC 1111) doesn't seem to be with just 5 applicants so far per the spreadsheet. Every company needs to get its accounts done and accountants and auditors are ubiquitous. i.e., there are so many of accountants around the world. Why is it that very few seem to have applied under the NOC 1111 category or are we, based on the spreadsheet, very seriously misjudging the actual number of applicants?
2) Again based on the spreadsheet, it appears that interest in FSWP seems to be limited to a few countries (India, Philippines, Singapore, etc.) Of particular concern to me is the number of applicants who have declared Beijing as their VO. Isn't it very, very plausible that the number of applicants from China – the most populous country on earth- is much, much higher than that on the spreadsheet. Of course, there is no way of finding out how many applications are being received daily, but doesn't the absence of the absolute majority of countries on the spreadsheet make you wonder if the spreadsheet is making us significantly underestimate the actual number of applicants.
What do you guys think?

Hmn, for my application, I indicated my current job in NOC 1112 where I have been for 3 years. I also indcluded earlier jobs which are in the NOC list but not in the 50 occupations listed for FSW 2014 and I have over 3 years experience from those jobs.

So will my total work experience of over 6 years be considered or just the 3 years for my job under NOC 1112?

Your application already has been received - so chill out.

For tracking encashment, keep on eye on the spreadsheet. If any member whose application being received on 8th May reports DD is being charged, you contact your bank.

To me it will be 6 years provide that it is listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of NOC 2011. Interpret yourself from the below excerpt:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg72b
Factor 3: Work experience (maximum of 15 points)

"In order to receive points for all of the jobs you have had over the past ten years, your work experience must be in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of NOC 2011."
