Guys, another thing I want to clarify.

I am the principal applicant and I am bringing along my spuse and son. My agency is requiring us to submit proofs of my spouse's work experience and education credentials, along with mine. I checked the FSWP document checklist and there is nowhere there that says that the spouse's proofs of work experience and education credentials are required.

Please. I really need your opinion, guys. Thanks in advance.

If you are principle applicant then no need to send your spouse work experience & certificates, as are is no point for them. But if you spouse has IELTS you can send test result to get additional 5 points.

I don't think they will accept notarized IELTS. You shouldn't take a change. British Council will issue you a new report in 15 days if you provide a letter from Police that your original IELTS was lost. I did the same ;) Whic country r u from by the way?

Hi,

Thanks . I am from Nepal. Would you mind sharing me contents of letter what police has written on your behalf? And what change are you talking about?

No alternate will work here.

You have to submit on company letterhead below details:

Designation, Job duration, area of work, detailed point by point job duties, some employer also mention 40 hours per week(optional)

You need get it by taking approval from your manager in current or previous company.

In case, HR deny issuing such letter-- then also you have to submit it by speaking to your manager. But it is mandatory.

Can you please clarify if these contents are included in any of the other letters like offer letter, promotion letter, company issued letter for US visa etc is that fine?.

In form IMM0008, in dependent section, it is written:

Question 12 - select the type of dependant from Type A,B and C.

Type A The dependant is under the age of 22 and is single (not
married and not in a common-law relationship).

Type B The dependant has been continuously enrolled in and in attendance as a
full‑time student at a post-secondary institution accredited by the relevant
government authority and has depended substantially on the financial
support of a parent either:
since before the age of 22, or
since marrying or entering into a common-law relationship (if it
happened before the age of 22).

Type C The dependant is 22 years of age or older, has depended
substantially on the financial support of a parent since before
the age of 22, and is unable to provide for himself or herself
because of a medical condition.

My wife is working in an MNC and is an engineer by degree. Please suggest what 'Type' she is ?

Here is ur answer:

Brother actually this is a fault from CIC for the newer version generic form (footer IMM 0008 (2014-03) ). I can see for older ver. when I chose on ques 10 : "Relationship to principal applicant as-Spouse" ques-12 (From the list, select the type of dependant) automatically inactive. But when u used new generic form u have to choose any of category as a mandatory field instead inactivation. In this case i can suggest u to use any dependent category (A/B/C) and write down in a cover letter that u are having this problem for filling up ques:12 of (Dependent section) on generic form. Visa officer will understand this issue...i believe....

On the PAYMENT FORM.

Principal applicant - ME - $550
Each family member age 22 or older - IS THIS FOR SPOUSE ALSO?

If yes it will be

Principal applicant - ME - $550
Each family member age 22 or older - Wife - $550

Total = $1100?

Thanks for swift response.

Well I guessed it right that u were from Nepal. Me too BTW. Actually I meant "You should not take a chance". I went to a police station nearby and filed an application that my IELTS original report was lost. The next day they gave me a letter stating they made a search for it but din find it. I took the letter, a copy of my passport and IELTS report,an application for a new TRF report and New TRF fee (NRS 2000 sth) and submitted it to BC. Then I got my New Original TRF in 15 days.

BTW which NOC are you applying in? Also, have you done your ECA? IF not get ur academic documents attested and sealed and send it for ECA as soon as the final notice is announced. Coz it took me about 2 months to get the ECA report. Also, pay extra to WES to send ur docs back via international courrier.

Hello everyone. I really dont know how to get experience letters in the format CIC asks!

I am doing a Govt job, and worked in two different departments under two different supervisors.

1- My first supervisor is an extremly unprofessional person and wont give me an exp letter, however ill get it easily from my 2nd supervisor. So what do i need to do with the 1st supervisor (even if he signs it for me, i fear he will spoil my case, he likes doing things like this, ruining careers).
Also the work i was doing in this department closely matches with the job duties mentioned in NOC

2- Also my company (department) does not have any letter head? What do i do with this?

3- Since its a very big company, my HR will hardly give time for it. Even if he does, and i sign it from him then how will the CIC verify my job exprience, they just cant call the HR and ask them what work i do there, what time i get to office?

I have my appointment letter, pay slips, everything..

Brother,

1. For the first case i would suggest u to take signe from another Supervisor with whom u r more familiar....Who can feedback u good response...Its not mandatory to have signed with a specific one..

2. Thats what a prb...then u can affidavit ur experience letter and write cover letter why u were unable to provide with a letter head...(attach a Business card from whom u take signed...But this case has acceptance issue from CIC side..Its upto them.

3. For the usual case, they verify first with the referene/contact details u added to ur letter...And since u r a valid employee they will mark it out..

Dont worry... 8)

If i bought a house (with a lone) and payed 10% advanced.
should i list it as an asset and liabilities or can i ignore it.

The funds could be in the form of:
cash
documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.) or
documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

below is the sample noterization for Letter of reference that I took from fsw13 thread last year.

Sample noterization
Date:

SOLEMN AFFIRMATION

I the undersigned, (principal applicant), residing at ___________________________________, hereby solemnly affirm that from (date) until (date) I was employed by (company name) as (job title).

I worked (number) hours per week and was paid (salary) (weekly, monthly, yearly).

My main duties consisted of (main duties).

Main Duty 1
Main Duty 2
Main Duty 3
Main Duty 4
and so on and so forth.

I am unable to obtain a letter with the job description from my employer because the HR department doesn't provide any such letter with the job duties mentioned on it. The only thing they provide with is an experience letter with the designation and the tenure of the employment mentioned on it, that too at the time of relieving. I have that letter and I shall enclose the notarized copy of the same.
