Hi guys,

I have a question about letter of employment. I am the manager of a small IT company and I would like to apply for NOC 2174. Since my company is small, the title of 'director manager' is my legal title and is used in our official correspondence. However, I am actually a senior computer programmer in my company.

I have 7 years of experience and I have all legal documents showing the establishment of my registered company and my business license. Both the translated letter of establishment and business license declared my as founder and director manager of my company. But I am a senior programmer. I would like to know how should I write a letter of employment for myself in my own company's letterhead? Does anyone have confronted a similar situation or experience?

I guess senior programmer matches best for 2174 Noc...So my suggestions is to apply with this title...

Hello Everyone!

We intend to apply under NOC-1112 (Financial Analyst). My wife is the principal applicant. Funds requirement is CAD 22000 for our family size of four. Entire family will immigrate together with the Principal applicant. I believe even funds of spouse can be clubbed to arrive at the above amount. I would like to know how much % of funds (at least) shall be in Principal applicant name.

There is no restriction for %age funds under principle applicant. Entire funds can be on spuoses name. no problem

I had applied for fswp 2013 under noc 2147 but the application didnt go through due to lack points, when i checked the new list noc 2147 is not enlisted. Can i apply under noc 2281 as my main duties match with this noc ? I have all the required docs ready with me.

THIS Q is for Reference letter....

Can anyone tell me if you are a consultant? And if you are including NAME OF THE projects you worked on? Or are responsibilities GOOD ENOUGH ? I feel too much of project name and what it's about information can be confusing and responsibilities should be fine...please share thoughts...

I already have lower markes in ielts and I can submit it but the total points are 64.Is it recommended to apply with low poitns and in the parallel take ielts and then update the application?

Brother, submission of IELTS is a mandatory item for ur application ....So attend ur IELTS test right now and get a valid score ....

Dont worry u will be in the CAP what ever the NOC inshallah...Best of luck with ur application...

I applied last year also but got refusal letter stating that Job duties are not mentioned in the experience letters of previous employer so they have not considered that exp.
now my query is
1. I want to apply in this years program in same category, do I need to send only the new exp. letters with Job duties or the previous ones also along with the new ones.
2. Do I need to send the correspondence with CIC Nova Scotia with the application. (I have not received my application packet back and I only have the email regarding this.)

one more thing
3. Can a Couple apply 2 application i.e. one application wife main applicant and second application husband main applicant.

Just try with submitting clarification letter with the application

1. No, you must send complete application
2. Yes you must send this email + copy of IELTS certificates, otherwise, you will be rejected again

My ielts exam is in June.So is there any chance to get the visa?Because as per the agent all the categories specially IT will be reach to the capacity in a month.I am a software tester and having 6 years of experience.Should i hire any agent for this or should i apply by my own?I heard good reviews about y axis.

1. yes i will send complete application that I know i just wanted to know that along with complete application do i need to send those previous certificates also in which job duties are not mentioned along with the new certificates in current date in which the job duties are mentioned.

2. My IELTS is Expiring on 12th may so i am appearing again and i will send the new results.

where is the revised list of 'eligible occupations' ? The one posted under this thread doesn't contain 2147 and 0211.
Can anybody help to suggest any alternative to 2147 as basically i have 3 years experience under 2147 and in addition to that, 2.5 years managerial level experience. So in which category can i apply if 2147 and 0211 is eliminated.

hey guys,

i am new here. two quick things..

i worked in a software firm for 8 years from designation Software engineer trainee to senior software engineer (Trainee for 2 years and software engineer title for 3 years and Senior software engineer for 3 years)

then i worked in another firm for 2 years as senior software engineer (may not able get the job certificate in required format)

now i'm working as senior consultant for an MNC for last 4 months (may not get the job certificate in required format).

how do i proceed now.. is the certificate from the first employer is enough ? am i eligible under 2174 based on abv titles ?


and second thing

my wife working as finance manager since last 16 months. but not possible to get any previous employment proofs/certificates other than this 16 months. even if i consider 16 months only she is able to get 67 points . but her NOC 0111 says employment should have several years of experience.. is she eligible.. because if she is eligible, i am trying to apply through her, since it is less competetive compred to 2174.
