Hello tupa, you will have to check with your bank to know the status of the DD, wether it has been encashed or not. Just call your account officer, cheers.tupa said:Dear Seniors

By my English Language,Family Name at birth is the surname while name at birth are your other names.max09 said:Thanks Kollins.
I am still a bit unsure if I should put her maiden name in that column for the reason that it does not say "name at birth" it just says "Family name at birth".
What do other people think, has anyone been in that situation, how did you handle that?
That is correct as per the instruction.FutureImmi said:My application is already on the way ...
As I told you, I followed their instructions to the best of my understanding and wrote NA in her family name as it is blank in her passport.
Please write the name as it is indicated on the passport....that is the instruction.intensecool said:Another query -
In my passport SURNAME field is empty, whole name has been entered in GIVEN NAME field,
so i should be entering my FULL NAME in Given name field right, and leave family name blank>??
Correct if i am doing it wrong.
And in FAMILY INFO, i am using all ENGLISH lang. no hindi as such ?

What do you mean by surname?
Your surname is your family name. It is sometimes called your “last name.” If your name is spelled differently on your official documents, please write your name as shown in your passport. When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document or any letters you got from the visa office or case processing centre where you sent your application (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.
If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the given name field.
