Dear All:

Thanks for having this forum, I'm new to the forum as I stumble upon it after submitting my FSW 2014 applications and trying to get the feelings about the FSW program. I'll like to ask a question and I'll like someone with experience with the workings at the CIC to shed more light for me.

I applied for the FSW 2013 but was capped out and my package returned with the CIO stamp and given a UCI no. I already sent across my application for the FSW 2014 under the NOC 2131 and had already been received, this NOC is different to the one I applied for earlier (NOC 2263). I did not include the UCI no in the new application because I checked the on CIC's CAS system but did not return any information about me. My question is not putting the UCI no as well as applying under another occupation despite the fact that the letters are from the same company, and the employment timing are the same would have any implications on my application as I got to know earlier today about GCMS that stores personal information relating to clients that includes client identification (i.e., family name and given names, gender, date of birth, country of birth, etc.), contact information and history, educational and employment information.

Thank you guys in advance
Why would you do that. The form asks for your UCI number. I can't comprehend why people think they are free to disregard very plain instructions.

CIC will find your UCI from your name and date of birth and will proceed accordingly. Nobody knows whether it will affect your application.

What is the best option (Only 2 applicants Husband and Wife only- For two applicants POF required is CAD$ 14720)

1. Submit only my bank statement which is just 1 month old and all the money CAD$15000 came into my account with in a period of 20 days from my own foreign account.

2. Submit (option 1) + my spouse bank statement which has CAD$ 20000 from 1.5 year.

will there be any problem if i select option 2, as my account and spouse account has more than enough amount for two applicants. (double amount)

Seniors Plz advice
The more settlement funds you can show, the better. I would submit both.

I was filling the additional family information and encountered the following query ?
I am married and hence i filled up the one form with myself as applicant along with my additional family members.
But how to fillup additional members of my wife's family - Do I have to specify Not applicable where relationship is applicant and fillup spouse details with mine with her father/mother/son and brothers/sisters details provided? OR do i have to specify the details of my wife as applicant itself ?
Seniors please help me remove this dialemma!!!
On your form, you are the applicant, your wife is the spouse, and you fill in information on your parents, children and brothers and sisters.

On your wife's form, she is the applicant, you are the spouse, and you fill in information on her parents, children and brothers and sisters.

Re: Ref Letter

You are suggesting a separate letter from a supervisor that supplements an official letter from the employer? That's a good way to go.
@future_canadian

Please suggest whether we can really proceed in this way ? I am also in same situation where i am unable to get letter from hr but can manage letter from my manager without company letter head pad.

"Place the barcode pages on top of your application (forms and supporting documents) when you will submit it."
No way I am putting the signature page out of order on top of the form when it goes at the end. They don't care where the bar code pages are. The document checklist ALSO says it should go on the very top of the application. Those instructions are contradictory. Which to follow? The answer is, it doesn't matter.

Guys Regarding Schedule A , Background Declaration Form I have following queries:

1.For point 7 Education: Should we begin with most recent information , If my highest level of education is masters should I start with masters details?

2.Also the boxes are too small , how to fit details? in my case my institution name is long, only first portion fits in , the other half doesn't , how to write this?

3. Also for type of certificate, Master of business administration doesn't fit in . How to include this?

4.Finally also for field of study the box is small, should we just include "business" as field of study ?
1. yes
2. Write across the boxes or continue onto the next line. OK to take up 2 lines with one entry.

3. MBA

4. Yes.

Also remember you can always include an annexure if you think that would get the information across easier.

NO, settlement funds is the amount of liquid and unencumbered assets you have. Cash, fixed deposits, easily liquifiable stocks and bonds and mutual funds, things like that. Your assets and liabilities are a separate matter but must also be disclosed.

Regarding property purchased with others, you can include the portion of the value that is yours as an asset, and the portion of the liability that is yours as a liability, but it is not settlement funds because it is not liquid.
Thank you future_canadian...

got it. But problem is that, how I can claim the property value? Suppose, my property value is currently 15lacs BDT( 18000CAD) then how can I claim it and mention it in assets? Is there any documents should I have to submit?

So, for me, Assets = Settlement fund 14974+ 180000CAD
Liabilities = 12000 CAD( 9lacs BDT)
Settlement fund =14974

Can I mention it like this?

If yes then just clarify me the below statement in the guideline:

"Question 11

a) Assets
Indicate the total amount (in Canadian dollars) of fixed deposits, savings accounts, pensions, etc.

b) Liabilities
Indicate the total amount (in Canadian dollars) of real property mortgages and any other personal debts.

c) Total funds available for settlement in Canada
With consideration to your total assets and liabilities, indicate the total amount (in Canadian dollars) of unencumbered, transferable and available funds that you have for settlement in Canada."

Actually, I am afraid about my personal loan which is almost equivalent to my settlement fund which is stated in Bank Certificate.

Please suggest from your experience and expertise. If any document I have to prepare please share if possible

Regards

Labels only. Containing your address. One in English and one in the official language of your residence.
It is only mentioned in Checklist. But in Guideline it is not mentioned. In checklist it is also mentioned to follow the "Step 4: Mail the application"

In this section only one address we have to use in center of the envelope:

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category, Offer of Arranged Employment category or PhD category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

1. Then where we have to mention our " self addressed mailing labels"

2. Should we have to give a print copy along with the application?

Settlement funds must be liquid and unencumbered. If you have sufficient settlement funds that are liquid and unencumbered it should not (in theory) matter what your liabilities are. for example if you have car and house loan, those are secured by the car and the house respectively and should not endanger your other assets. Then no problem.

That having been said, reviewers have discretion to judge whether or not you can establish yourself economically in Canada even if you already meet the pass mark. So I would make sure to list all assets possible (while being honest) to make your financial situation look as good as possible.

Thanks..Please help me how can I show my properties as assets. I have to show that I have sufficient fund after deduction my liabilities.

As it is mention in the guideline that

c) Total funds available for settlement in Canada
With consideration to your total assets and liabilities, indicate the total amount (in Canadian dollars) of unencumbered, transferable and available funds that you have for settlement in Canada."

You had a lot of questions but they were reasonable and showed that you had at least read and considered everything. I had no problem at all with your questions.

But some people come on here and ask questions that show they have made no effort to understand the process themselves, like "what are the requirements for fsw?" Lemon is right, about those people.
Thank you future_canadian to understand me.

and I am sorry for that I asked lots of questions at a time. But I have to ask those questions to fill up the forms successfully.
I thought its better to ask all doubts at a time than in several post or in scattered.

But Lemon did wrong without reading the post he just attacked.

If all are expert then why this forum? This forum is for all

Thanks for understanding.
