wat i got is, ur wife has pasport made b4 marriage..having his father's name. RIGHT.

if its valid for 1 year, no isuue.

but if its expiring within 1 year, better get new one, it will 'by default' be with ur name as husband on it.

YES.. you got it right that her passport was issued before she was married (with her father's name) and the validity is almost 5 years for both our passports.

But my name is not updated on her passport neither her's on mine.. and my consultant says that we need to get this added before the final visa application (i guess before RPRF), else the embassy would have concerns on issuing the visa.

Also, he stated that the couple's without a kid are normally called for an interview..

Any idea on this??

May be the guy who told you this is half-crazy. Just kidding... No nothing like that. Everyone is treated equally WRT PR or Visa atleast for Canada.

Not true. At some point everyone is a first time applicant, be it Work VISA, Resident VISA or Tourist VISA.

This is just another nuisance rumor.

i dont understand why this updated document checklist isnt taken seriously?.. Cmon if CIC have updated its document checklist,then there must be a purpose behind it. CIC have other jobs to do as well

as per my knowledge and practice in pakistan, its not an issue.
since it was issued b4 marriage, so what..
does marriage expires it..NO, so I think ur consultant is 'TRYING TO IMPRESS' u by creating an unreal fear..its fine dear for both...

no such hard n fast rule, again it was his 'STUNT'..

Hello all seniors I need some clarification. I assumed that the UCI number that is issued for previous applications is unique and can be used for future FSW applications. I had applied under FSW in 2011 but my application was returned due to CAP being reached by the time my application was evaluated. However, I had a UCI number assigned to my application.

I applied under FSW again this year (2014) and I used my previous UCI number when I filled out the 2014 forms. My CC was charged on 11-11-14. When I tried using my UCI number to check the status of my application on the ECAS website I get an error message that my information cannot be found.

Can anyone guide me? Will they issue a new UCI number for my 2014 application? Should I contact CIC?
Please provide your input.

1. In Generic Application Form. Field " Current Occupation " do wee need to write current position in company or occupation close to NOC. Sometime positions are generic like Junior Admin while he is performing tasks exactly as per NOC JD.

2. In Economic Classes Principal Candidate, Field Your Work Experience. (Same question here)

I think your consultant isn't a qualified one because (s)he's giving you wrong advice!
