My friend had applied under 2173 Software engineers and designers but her file got rejected stating somyething like job duties mentioned does not match NOC. She filed it through a consultant who did not do a great job.

What are her chances of being in the cap if she sends a new application (Lets say in 10 days time) for NOC- 2172 Database analysts and data administrators?

My friend, what website reads is the actual timeline, but if you are aware how this Police department works, will get an idea how the real timeline falls apart than the pasted on to their website. BTW which state u belong ?

I agree with you that the timelines will fall apart and tht's the reason I posted my question and mentioned the same in my first post....had I been confident of 1 or 3 day timeline, I wud have gladly gone ahead with my MR/RPRF/PCC submission.
But, One thing which I am confident abt is tht there will be no police verification before renewed passport is issued. I mean Passport Office can "delay" the timeline but I hope tht they cannot "Change" the process. My worry is abt the length of "delay".

I wish someone cud tell me how much time do we have after PPR. Do we have any hard Deadline, like in case of MR ?

I applied new passport for my wife and I got in just 2 day (applied today morning and got next day afternoon by speed post).

Pasport office: Hyderabad
In tatkal I applied.

* For mumbai, pcc can be directly taken by walkin (9.30 - 10.30)

Suggest you not to wait till PPR email,
As soon as you are done with Medicals/PPC/RPRF submission, next day you can start PP renewal. PPR email will be around 45-50 days. So you can have new pp before PPR email.

If u plan landing by mid of 2015, send these things ASAP and u will have a good chance to get visa stamped before 31st Dec, 2014....... otherwise NDVO may take long as most of the guys in NDVO are working overtime and on weekends to meet the 2014 target. They will all be taking log vacation in January.

Otherwise, u have to get it renewed

If i were you, i will send these docs now as they have not requested for passport bio page and mention in my cover letter that i am going to renew my passport with 1st week of Dec being expected date of receipt. This way, i will still have a chance to be finalized by Dec 2014. A PCC issued on previous passport (ur current passport) is as much valid as the one u can get after new passport (if thats ur concern).

Remember, till Dec 2014 NDVO will be willing to go extra mile on these trivial things to ensure finalization of maximum apps to meet their target.

Dear Forum Members,
I need clarity on the UCI number, I am a 29th July DD applicant. I have Temp Resident Visa and noticed a Ref number with eight digits, this number is the same as was on my old visa, hence, consistency. Is this the UCI number? I had written CIO last month but to date I have not received a response. Your help would be much appreciated as this is now a tense time in my life. Trying to hold my anxiety together and need some info on my application.

Hi experts/friends

I received my PER email on Nov 11, 2014 (July 16 applicant). When i checked my application status on CIC website, it shows as "in process". When i further click the link, it shows that "We received your application for permanent residence on July 16, 2014". When i checked the "in process" status table on CIC website, it comes after "visa office eligibilty review complete" tab.

Does this mean the my relevant VO process is over and now i should expect for medicals or VO will still do some background checks and may require some clarfication / documents or may call for interview even?
