Ottawa VO is major exception...as it deals with mostly US based applicants and they are already landed in Canada......everything in US is computerized and online and that's make the major difference. I think they don't need to wait for manual work, they do everything online and hence applicants are processed quite rapidly. universities are online, security agencies are online, employers are online......so mostly all background checking is done online, hence very quickly.

about other VOs u mentioned may be working on same or similar patterns. here in Asia the VOs and things are not on that levels and therefore the manual working costs us the precious time waste!

Nice deduction! +1 to u sir

Hey All my RPRF fees DD is with 3 months validity.
Is it a issue?

Shouldn't be an issue - Your VO is local and encashment time is less as compared to CIO (usually 2 days or just like cheque encashment time in your country)

You said you have applied for PCC...does that mean your police verification has been initiated??

It will take around 20-30 days on time taken by SP office for verification. Once your verification is done you can request the person doing your verification to send your report to SP office ASAP. After that you can visit SP office and request them to process your verification report.

These days SP office uploads the verification report on PSK portal. Once the report is uploaded the same is reflected at PSK.

Don't wait for the message or status to change on your PSK account. Rather call their customer care and check if your verification is complete. In my case, my verification was done on 30th Oct and same didn't reflect till 7th Nov but when I called the customer care, they notified me that my verification is complete.

Guys i have very good news for you all, after sometime of having the hesitation about the CAP updates and how it is being estimated and either for completeness check or CC charge or PER. i decided earlier last month to send an email to CIC asking about that specifically. here below the reply i got today

Dear Sir/Madam:

The website provides an estimate only of the applications included in the cap.

Until the application is checked for completeness, it cannot be confirmed as being received. Once it has been determined that the submission is complete, it is counted in the cap and the information is updated electronically. Due to high volumes of submissions, there is a lag between confirmation of receipt of a complete application and the electronic update of the cap count.

Hi Friends,

I found that in my ECA report my major is wrongly wrote as ''Communications and Information Systems'', but in my degree certificate the major is ''Communication and Information System''. Do I need to ask WES to generate an updated report to me or there is no big risk for me to send the application to CIO? There is another easy way that I can ask my university to generate new degree certificate and transcript using the major in ECA report, but I'm afraid CIO may review my previous edition kept in WES. Not sure which way I need to choose, anyone had the same problem before? Thank you very much.
