vind, i must correct you on this.
cio DOES issue NER via email, and they DO NOT send anything back in case of NER, that is, if you do not meet the requirements (such as obtaining below 67points).
I got my NER on october 18th, and my CC got charged on July 29th, so it was about two and half months apart.

Yes you should show that work ex letter as it will cover the gap also.

I saw in SS for 2174 some entries are there even after cap reached date. So I have some hope if that could possible with us also !!!!

People who have a job offer from Canada will be getting PER, even if the cap has reached for any given NOC.

Guys, I received yesterday the return of my application of 18/August (NOC 0111). The reason was banal: I have not signed the "Signature of cardholder" field of the form IMM 5620 (this is the form for credit card debt). This was the only reason given for the refusal letter from the CIO.

There were several brands of "check" in pencil in the documents, which apparently indicates that they found the rest of the process to be okay. The posting date was 27/10 in Canada and the envelope arrived yesterday, 12/11 , at my house in Brazil.

I signed the document they returned, printed a new version of the form and I'll resend today by Fedex. Now I will be back to the end of the line and have to keep waiting!

I am sharing this story to warn you that all details are important. A small mistake like this I made, makes your process to be returned.

In conclusion, I say I can not complain about anything, it was my mistake and that is all. The letter from CIO is very polite and goes straight to the issue, with the factors of refusal highlighted with yellow highlighter pen. At the end of the letter they even thank you for your interest in Canada.

the letter indicates two problems: employment proof (as it says your application does not meet regulation 10 of IRPA and explains the regulation),as well as copy of BC.

Just wanna share this for 2173 - August applicants (to give hope and inspiration)...


I was able to talk with a fellow Pinoy in FB group and he has same experience as mine. He was a 2174 - June 20 (DD mode) applicant. When 2174 reached 1000 capacity, he got worried because last charging was June 19 and he didn't know the status of his application if included in the 1000 cap. After 2 weeks, he emailed LVO (Manila - VO) to inquire about his status and had known that his application is already In-Transit to the Visa Office. Also, he got his UCI number.

As per conversation with him, the update for 2174 (Oct 10 - with June 19 as last charged date) even reached the date of July 4 applicants. This means that August applicants has hope for PER as long as no problems with the documents.

I am an Aug 13 and the last charge date for 2173 is Aug 12. I hope this helps to all 2173 who's like me a worried pal. ;D

Dear Forum Members

I am 4th July Applicant and received my PER on 30 Oct. My Visa Office is London. My kids passports are expiring Dec 2015 so intent to get them renewed before medical request. My sons name as per passport had an error such that the first name was spelled as surname and the surname as the name. I want to rectify this, however, all the immigration forms filed with CIC required names to be input as per the passport, therefore, while filing application had input the names as required.

My concerns are:
1) I know that i will have to send them copies of the new passports before medical request. Would like to know the address of LVO and whether to send them through email or via courier? and also should send them unsolicited or when LVO solicits?
2) Most importantly will it be an issue with LVO if i rectify the name in my sons passport just like the way it should be?

Kindly help me on this.
