I am August 06th applicant for NOC 2171. I didnt have my cc charged yet. Does that mean I will have problems with my application?
I'm really scared and devastated ....

I would advise you apply for it right away. I was able to do so without the PCC request from NDVO which was worth the risk and it worked out quite well. All I did was to use the PER mail as a proof and mention that my application was In process and hence the need.

1) Just drop them a mail (SPF_CID_COC @ spf.gov.sg ), provide them details of your stay in Singapore, FIN/ PP No whichever that you do have, and your reason for application.
2) Expect a response from them (give them a weeks time) with details of the COC Appeal Form and the COC Application form, reach out to them over the phone if you see its taking more than a week which was in my case.
3) Fill up the forms and submit all the necessary documentation and send it across by snail mail and you are good to go. You can expect the entire process to be complete in about 30 to 45 days. You can always follow up on your application by reaching out to them, they do give you a reference number.

They are also accessible over the phone and were very helpful to all my queries. You should be able to get the numbers from their website or elsewhere from this forum , which is where I was able to find them. My current phone's gone for a toss sadly, else would have been able share them with you.

Should we request them to send it to CIC, Nova Scotia or NDVO (as I will apply without a PCC request from CIC/NDVO)
Also what happens if the PCC reaches CIC/NDVO before they send a MR/PCC request to me (as they insist on us sending the PCC either with initial application or only when they request)

This is nerve wreaking. it's been a long weekend for me waiting for this week as a july 29th applicant for NOC 3112.

It is not a delay, since it didn't pass 110 days waiting time yet. I am just frustrated with the lack of consistency. All of a sudden they come up with a "brilliant" idea and make people freak out. This is a first world country (theoretically), hence the authorities should have the same approach to everyone, regardless of the country, race, noc and other bull*censored word*. It happened before when they terminated the backlog with FSW or abolished investor visa. And applicants are still claiming their fees refund. The way they treat people actually gives me a definite purpose to become Canadian simply to vote against conservatives in every coming election.

Congratulations on your patience. (can't give you +1 yet ).

They sure are lacking consistency:
- They've changed the rate on which they updated the CAP;
- They've put a CAP on 2174 from one day to the other;
- They've clearly prioritized Completeness Check over regular process (otherwise they wouldn't have increased the rate from 500 per week to 700 per week with the last cap update);
- Now they are prioritizing a (or a few) NOCs;

It is indeed tough. I really hope they do better with Express Entry.

They are all over the place with this speeding of applications. Who knows what will happen next.

Don't loose hope, I'm sure you will be charged in a few days.

Hey Jaxon,

I was myself not expecting the charge so soon. Earlier in the afternoon I read someone was charged for 1st Aug, then around 9PM someone reported a 6th Aug charge. That raised an alarm, but I still did not expect my turn to come so soon. It was/is a surprise ;D.


To all those still waiting, hold on tight. The DD guys will especially take longer to get any confirmation. My best wishes to others awaiting charge of their DD/CC.
