As I suggested in my last post, i would like to highlight the potential flags in my application following my PER which was received yesterday (which may give the facts some credibility).
- Birth Certificate Name Mismatch: My Birth Certificate lists my name as NISHES whereas my Passport and every other document lists my name as NISHESH. I prepared a self-sworn affidavit (while living in the UAE from the Consulate General's Office) attesting to the fact that 'both the names mean the same and belong to the same person'.
- Birth Certificate Place of Birth Mismatch: Place of Birth mentioned in the BC was differrent from the one mentioned in the Passport and the Generic Form. The thing is - I was born in Calcutta. BC mentions the same as Calcutta. Passport mentions it as Kolkata.
- Employer's Letter Of Reference 1 [Current Employer: 11months 24 Days]: Included Experience letter with comprehensive set of duties. The Letter however, was not dated (I missed this trivial piece of detail. Yes, I did actually, despite several proof readings). Fortunately I received my appraisal letter 3 days before the application was to be couriered and I included a copy just 'for the sake of it'.
- Employer's Letter Of Reference 2 [Ex Employer: 3 Years 20 Days]: Experience Letter with the Listed Duties was duly provided but was a concern. The total number of Duties were 7 with one of them being a Project Work in the UK. However, the duties did cover 60% of the Key Skills which were mentioned overall under 2281.
- Employer's Letter Of Reference 3 [1st Employer: 3 Years 10 Months]: The Employer provided with an Experience Letter. However, they did not mention any duties at all due to the organization's policy as it is one of the largest financial institutions in the world. I conversed with the HR using my google mail and there official email address. In their email response they clearly stated the reason for not providing the duties in the LOR. I attached a copy of the complete EMAIL transcript and a cover letter explaining the scenario. I absolutely needed any 2 out of the 3 work experience to qualify.
As I have always believed, there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world. But, the benefits that an individual can gain from this forum, given he/she is sincere enough in his/her efforts, actually saves you REAL MONEY because you do not have to hire a consultant as a result. And they can cost you a lot, both financially and psychologically (stress on the latter). Hence, I have tried to give my 2 cents to this forum whenever I could spare time from the duties of my everyday life. I know everybody else does so as well.
If somebody needs to get in touch with me, especially Indian applicants from the UAE, a PM would be nice as I get notified in my email.
Good Luck!
