so sorry about that I also applied last year but it was late. I suppose all your documents should be almost ready then, so what is with the delay? is your ielts expired?

ielts will expire jan2015. i learned about fsw this year 1st week of may and has no plans to reapply at first but i realized why would i not try since it is still may. so now am just updating some docs like PCC, license, get updated docs from relative, got to get updated pics. sort of that.its little things and yet requires (a lot) time and effort. but let's see. God has plans for everyone..

But at below link it is saying Employment Requirement is Diploma in Computer Science But I am Bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering.

I got them last year and use them in fsw13 but my file return first due to payment error and secondly due to cap filled. i used them for my fsw 14 application but they were 1 year old... Do i need to resubmit them on later stage or its fine because i never visit Austrslia after 2011 and PCC issued in 2013. And what is best time to start preparing for new one...

I thought a person at the counter or a call representative over the phone would not have such information or authority to disclose when the cc charge or 2014 cases processing will begin. Good if they start charging today. If not, good to keep our hopes alive. Cheers!

As far as I know, if you have not gone back to that country (not residing there anymore) you do not need to get another one, even if it expires. They will check your passport and they know you have not gone back.

CIC only matches your job duties with the NOC's description. They disregard the whole Employment Requirement section.

About selection of NOC, first assess which of the two NOCs, your duties match more and select that NOC.

When will the visa officer asks for the 6 month bank statement? Is it after you receive the PER?

Do they always ask for this? I haven't seen anywhere that mentions 6 months bank statement.

use computer not hand written.. and use adobe acrobat pro for filling forms.

Hand written is acceptable, but seems terribly time-consuming and easier to make an error.

Whether it's notarized or not doesn't matter unless it is a translation.

Sorry for the such weird question.
I had my birth certificate translated by the certified translator in my country. Do it needs to be notarized? It has something written like affidavit in it signed my the translator, but not notarized by some one.
In my country, we do never hear about notary...

There are exact instructions in the guide for what must be done with translated documents. Follow those instructions carefully.

I wish to apply for Canada immigration under FSW program under categories - 2173 or 2174.

My IELTS exam date is on 7th of June. So I would be able to apply at the June month end the earliest.

Can anyone predict the cap filling time for NOC 2173 and 2174 ?

Also, from where can I check the current cap status? I do have the link of CIC site, but they are not updating it even on weekly basis I guess.

Please suggest...

They update it when they feel like it, and CIC is the only reliable source of information. Anything else is an educated guess at best.

Normally they dont tell updates on phone but sometimes agents are good and they tell. so try a few times hopefully you will get some info.

then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be asked
listen the request 3 times without entering client id number.


Try calling them by phone....Mail...not sure you will be successful until after 20 working days.

I have almost the same query as gaurav and a couple of other questions as follows:

1. I am thinking of applying as primary applicant and do the same for my wife too (she has relevant work experience and decent educational qualification). is that a good idea / feasible option?
2. i am looking at NOC 2173 as well. when they say a cap of 1000 does that mean the 1st 1000 applications will be accepted or the 1st 1000 valid applications?
3. i am yet to take the IELTS exam and get my educational degrees verified by WES (just got to know of the FSWP yesterday actually). Will it be too late to apply then?

Any responses to the queries would be greatly appreciated.

1. Yes, you and your wife can both submit applications. Be sure that each of you submit complete and separate applications. Better get 2 copies each of your IELTS results if you need to claim points for each other's language ability.

2. First 1000 complete applications.

3. Better get everything together and apply as fast as you can.
