Guys one quick question.

All my forms are ready and even d docs. The checklist no 15 says proof of settlement fund which is fd statement and bank statement. I have both stamped from bank.

But Schedule A economic classes asks for proof for Assets ,Liability & Settlement fund.
What all proof do I need to provide for assets and liabilities if I hav property, car,home loan n car loan.

Do I need to get a certificate from CA valuing my house ?or just an affidavit self declaring it's value?

I would provide what documentation you can now and be prepared to provide more later if your local VO asks for it. I don't think a professional valuation of property or anything else is necessary. I used a number of screen grabs for values of property, etc. If they want it professionally done they'll let me know and I'll do it. So long as you give a complete and accurate accounting and you aren't wildly off base it won't harm your application. (Unless you have a huge negative net worth or something like that.)

So I have a BE + MMS (Mumbai Univ) and that qualifies as 2 or more canadian post-secondary degrees. So in generic form I should still go with Bachelors degree right?? Hoping CIC will consider this as 22 points

Put Bachelors degree and include the originals of the originals of the two degrees ECA in your application package........cic will consider it as 22points.

Dear Experts, seeking your urgent attention..
I Have my birth certificate which doesn't include my name on it, yeh this is bit weird.

My birth certificate was issues after day or two of my birth date and my name was yet to decide. In this case they just issued a birth certificate by crossing the Name field on the certificate however my Parents name, Place of birth and date of birth matches with passport.

Please suggest what to do in this case? has anyone else gone through having similar certificate?

1. Use this birth certificate and also you use Secondary school records that contain the following :
Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

2. Use this birth certificate and give affidavit that it belongs to you, and reason for not having name. I think it could be better, if your parent give the affidavit.

"Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words

We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained.

So 10th standard school certificate or an affidavit containing applicants name, date of birth and Parent/Parents name should be fine in lieu of a birth certificate. Also you must give reason in a cover letter why you were not able to provide birth certificate and that you are providing 10th standard school certificate / affidavit in lieu of birth certificate."

IS there any one familiar with Australian Police Check?
I was an overseas student in Australia for 4 years. I am trying to apply for a PCC from this country.
It stated on the CIC website that I need addition document from the local traffic department regarding for traffic history record.
IMPORTANT AND MANDATORY: Additional requirements apply for those who lived in or currently live in the States of Queensland and/or Victoria after their 18th birthday:

Residents of Queensland must submit a Traffic History which goes back to their 18th birthday or the day on which their first Australian driver's licence was issued.
Residents of Victoria must submit a Licence History Search which goes back to their 18th birthday or the day on which their first Australian driver's licence was issued. Applicants who are unable to provide a Traffic History or a Licence History Search must provide evidence, issued by the Queensland and/or Victoria roads authority, stating that the person has never held a driver's licence in that state.



As I was not Australian PR(nor Citizen) and did not hold a driver license. But I had a learners permit for a period, never get on a actual drive.
Do I still need to apply for that?

Hi dear you need to show driver history certificate if you lived either in qld or victoria. You can direct apply from vicroad or qld site but you need to call their and need to update your current address. It will cost you $8 and if you never had licence then you need to email them and they will issue a certificate...

Teddy I hav read the guide but I m sure I m not the only one who wud has a home loan and almost sufficient funds for settlement and if cic is gonna do asset - liabilities = settlement funds...then definitely I will be in negative.

Coz without mentioning the property in assets my form will look like this.

Assets 21000 CAD
liabilities 72000 CAD
Settlement fund 21000 CAD

Will dat b ok ? I don't think so.

It's not Assets - Liabilities = Settlement Funds.

It's Assets - Liabilties = Net Worth (not explicitly stated on the form), and completely separately, that portion of your assets that is liquid or easily liquifiable and unencumbered constitutes your Settlement Funds.

I don't mean to pry but how is it that you have only 21K in assets and 72K in liabilities? Are you not counting assets which are encumbered by a liability? For example, if a home loan is included in your liabilities, you should include the current value of your home (reasonable estimate probably available on the internet) as an asset. You are required to list all assets and liabilities anyway, so might as well make yourself look as good as possible. On the other hand, if you have huge liabilities because you have credit card bills, or because of student loan debt or whatever, and you really are that far in the hole, I empathize and I don't mean to scare you but my attorney has informed me that a person's overall financial situation definitely plays into the discretionary evaluation of the reviewer.

In addittion to suggestion of Pipis Husband, also include your SSC/Matric certificate if it has
1. Your Name
2. Your DOB
3. Your Parent/Parents name

as it is an acceptable alternate to B.C.

So in all, you will have

a) 2 copies of your SSC certificate (1 for B.C section and one for education section)
b) Your actual B.C
c) Affidavit to prove that the B.C is yours (refer to your SSC as well)

Hi, include an affidavit of birth, stating your full name, date of birth and attesting that the birth certificate is for you, issued when you were yet unnamed. Add a cover letter explaining these circumstances and you are good to go.

For pcc just make sure you have sufficient id to make 100 point required doc may b your passport, dl, visa stamp,student id, bank atm etc just go to afp site and pay your money then download the form fill sign and send scan copy to there email id with all id,s and payment form. Please check on cic that what sort of check you required as i know its number 33 for immigration. Please make sure...
