They will grant on the same day if the police verification has already been done on your present passport (within last 1 year).

I had a January 2013 passport (with police verification done at that time). I got the PCC in 20 days time as they ordered fresh police verification.

i got one PCC from AMbala PSK on 24th June it took me 20 days as fresh police verification was done , now i am thinking if its possible since police verification was done in less than a year , will it be available hte same day or again the verification starts from scratch

Yes, Chandigarh PSK issues PCC on the same day provided your passport is not too old

In case of old passports they initiate police verification again.

has anyone had CHandigarh PSK provide the PCC within the same day ??

Just checked my application status and found the second line of update on the cic website.
We started processing your application on November 1, 2014.
Any statistics normally how many days after one receives the MR request.
