DD can be cancelled, by filing indemnity with the bank. I've done it for few of my customers. Slightly complicated process and option not provided to all, but possible.

At least its true for domestic DD. Will need to check for international ones as correspondent bank is also involved.

Hello Guys, I have query its regarding medicals. My spouse had TB in child age of 8. Now the person is fit and been to other countries too. while i was i filling forms i didn't mention that person had serious health issue as i thought he is clean since long now. So now when we go for medicals we would face the issue back again as in x-rays a latent or cured scar would be identified which is not an problem as we will get medical certificate that person is clean. Our concern is would CIC thinks we did not give right information or shall we include a letter with medicals stating we had some confusion. Kindly advice as this would be our last stage to submit all the required documents.

Don't over stress yourself

In medicals just tell them history of TB and if your spouse is fine NOW they have no issues

(Small insight : one of my aunt came to know in medical of canada , she had TB . She took treatment for 6 months got all well again went through medicals and now she is a citizen of canada )
She went on family sponsored visa

Update from NDVO: The reason for delay in issuance of PPR was due to unavailability of paper required to print visas . The special tree used for this paper has reached maturity 8), soon it will be chopped of an turned into visa paper. Expect PPR rain shortly. ;D

Agreed with GSW, as long as TB is not active and cured people can landup in Canada as PRs.

FIR not required. Indemnity is required in such cases. But upto bank to decide whether to entertain or not.
