Thanks century...

My worry starts here that if i send this cancelling form to CIC with all details you mentioned on cover letter, and as I can see my application could have been issued PER to consultant in last week (as per SS) then how will I be following up my futher case,,,,,

I do now even have any UCI or other details ...

Only I know that my file was at CIC on 4th June + DD charged in October 1st week...

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
send e-mail at cio-sydney-search-enquiry @ cic.gc.ca asking about your status. They will let you know it. Mention your Full Name, DoB, UCI (of you have any), Passport number. Note that it will take around 40 days to get response.

Max time is 1 yr from the date of your medicals and you get your pr card in a months time.. So you need to wait at least that long to be back home..

I have a question. If your child less than 11 years old has RBC in urine and no protien or glucose. Will CIC ask again for further test or do they ignore it / accept it?

I have the same question and preferably need inputs who already got the PR visa...

1) Is the Expiry date on the COPR (confirmation of Permanent Residence) is EXACTLY 1 YEAR from Medical date, LITTLE LESS than that or LITTLE MORE than that?

2) If someone lands in Canada within the COPR expiry date and returns in say 7 days. Can that person authorize some person (say a friend of her) residing in Canada to receive the PR card on her behalf after she leaves Canada?

Thanks in advance

Why are people telling this 43kg guy that he needs to gain weight?

Low or high weigh by itself is not grounds for medical inadmissibility. The grounds for medical inadmissibility are very clearly stated. His being underweight won't cost the Canadian health care system anything, it's not dangerous to anyone and it's not a threat to public safety.

Leave this poor fellow alone!

I did some research for the issue with medical of a friend ... Sharing the details for all those who have been blessed with MR email
1. The medical is to check illness/disease which can either
(a) Danger to public health i.e. contagious diseases
(b) Danger to public Safety
(c) Might reasonably be expected to cause an excessive deman on health or social services such as cancer, dialyses, kidney transplant etc etc

2. Therefore, no need to be bothered much abt the medical, If God forbid someone has such symptoms nothing much can be done. If an applicant's initial results are not satisfactory, further tests are conducted to rule out issues mentioned in point 1 (above). Following is list of different test conducted in medical and tips to avoid the expenses and tension of additional/confirmatory tests

3. Urinalyses: Dipstick test to check presence of following. The thresholds are +1 for any of these. In case of breach of threshold, Microscopic analysis will be conducted with following thresholds
Blood: Threshold – RBC above 10 RBC/HPF
Protein: Threshold – greater than 0.30 mg/L
Glucose: Threshold: Presence

Blood and protein can be present in healthy person based on activities/food over last 24 hrs. So, to avoid repeat test DO NOT have high protein diet, exercise, s3xual activity (48 hrs), Alcohol (5-7 days), Soft drinks, Caffeinated drinks (Tea, Coffee - also for B.P), raw tomatoes, raw leafy vegetables, or dieting (i.e. very less food). Drink at least 3 - 4 liters of water in 4 hours before the test. Otherwise, you risk incurring the expenses of Microscopic test.

If threshold of microscopic test are also breached then Serum Creatinine will be conducted. The results of this tests will be submitted and analysed by doctors in Canadian medical center, who may accept, rejected, or advise further tests for the candidate.

4. Blood test: for Syphillis and HIV. Both are s3xually transmitted diseases. Syphillis can be treated with medicine and in case of detection, doctor will prescribe the medicine. All details of this treatment will be shared with CIC/VO.

5. X-Ray: Mainly for checking early signs of T.B. Nothing much can be done about it but avoid/reduce smoking 5-7 days prior to the test to minimize chances of chest infection.

6. Physical examination: Blood pressure is main concern as it may signify hypertension if systolic is above 140 and diastolic is above 90. Avoid high cholesterol and other food which are known to result in high blood pressure. JUST MAKE SURE TO REMAIN CALM, and TAKE DEEP BREATHS, and your B.P will be within normal limits. Avoid getting mad at delays or cost of medical test . Chewing gum also helps in maintaining normal B.P.

The diseases checked in Physical examination include signs for hepatitis, Cancer, Cardiac diseases, Cognitive Impairment in Adults, Developmental delay in children, Psychiatric conditions (only those which can cause DANGER TO PUBLIC SAFETY and DEMAND ON SOCIAL/MEDICAL SERVICEs, if something remains under control through regular medication and chances of further deterioration are low, it won't be an issue).

Note: If initial tests are satisfactory, usually reports are not shared with CIC/VO but if confirmation tests are conducted or treatment is prescribed then reports of initial and all subsequent tests is shared with CIC/VO. If the diseases is curable for good through medicine, the candidate is not rejected on medical grounds but the candidate is put on hold till complete recovery. The treatment is prescribed and repeated medical test is conducted after prescribed duration.

Last but not least, DO NOT HIDE/MISREPRESENT ANY MEDICAL INFORMATION FROM THE DOCTOR WHEN ASKED ABOUT IT. IN CASE OF ANY ISSUE, THE PERSON WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE MEDICINE/CONSULT DOCTOR in CANADA and IF AT THAT TIME IT IS DISCOVERED THAT CANDIDATE MISREPRESENTED IN MEDICAL, IT WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF PR and DEPORTATION. YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOU HAVE INVESTED IN CANADA IN TERMS OF TIME AND MONEY. The above precautions works only for healthy person to avoid COSTS / TENSION OF REPEAT tests. These CAN NOT HIDE PRESENCE OF ACTUAL/CRITICAL DISEASE.
Shah, this definitely deserves +1. So given.

Haha

If u guys don't wanna stay in canada then why are you applying for PR

You have to land in Canada before expiration of copr to activate your PR and it takes 45 days to get ur PR card which you need for next entry to canada

Dear Friends

I've been following this post for quite some time now and i would be grateful if seniors could help me with the following questions:
Application submitted outside canada in my country of residence on 8th June 2014.
CIC received application on 12 June 2014
DD encashed on 3 October 2014
Checked application status on ECAS( already holder of a student/ work permit) - IN PROCESS- 1st line status reads as follows: your application has been received on 12 June 2014.

HOWEVER NO PER MAIL TILL NOW.( In fact my outlook mail was not working properly some time back precisely during the time when i was expecting my PER mail. My friends informed me that they mails they were sending were bouncing back. Could be CIC also sent the mail and it bounced back.)I've already sent a mail to CIC about one week back and i'm expecting a reply on or around 19 November, usual 30 days for replies to be obtained.

Questions Please:
1. Do we receive a hard copy of the PER by post after submission by email?
2. Does it take more time for CIC to process cases of those who are already holder of a student/ work permit being given that they have to check previous files? If so what could be the usual additional time compared to fresh applicants? If there are similar cases on this forum can i have an idea please?
3.How long does it take CIC to update the 2nd line on ECAS after PER mail?

Thank you all for your replies. I'm quite worried now already 53 days now since my DD has been encashed.

Thanks loads for your advice.
1. Do we receive
1. Yes hard copy is sent where email is not specified .
2. It takes same time as other candidates .
3. Generally around 40-45 days from per.

you have a year from MR to complete landing procedure.
You can come back after this process is completed. PR card takes around 45-90 days at times to receive.
Also you need to stay consecutive 2 years in Canada in the preceding 4 years to be eligible to extend PR.
