Brother,

1. For the first case i would suggest u to take signe from another Supervisor with whom u r more familiar....Who can feedback u good response...Its not mandatory to have signed with a specific one..

2. Thats what a prb...then u can affidavit ur experience letter and write cover letter why u were unable to provide with a letter head...(attach a Business card from whom u take signed...But this case has acceptance issue from CIC side..Its upto them.

3. For the usual case, they verify first with the referene/contact details u added to ur letter...And since u r a valid employee they will mark it out..

1- I had only one supervisor in my previous posting. But there is another person who worked on the same position on which i am now (he is now a supervisor in another department, i got training from him) can i get it from him?

2- Ill then have to ask from some one else

I am from India, In April 24th; CIC, Canada announce new NOC.

Under this category i wish to apply for following NOC.


Computer network technicians (2281)

I Understand that this NOC falls under NON Regulated occupation in Canada, I have following doubts:

(1) I did Bachelor Of Pharmacy 4 years program then i enter in profession of Computer Network Technician by obtaining formal training, So my Degree mismatch with my experience, So can i eligible to apply under this category?

Due to high cost of applications i cant take chance without confirmation that Am i aligible or not , So please provide answer to my query.

yes u can still apply but try to submit all relevant work letters(payslip+business cards -urs and referees+appointment letter)...Plus if u have training certificates..include those...

This will decrease the confusion of visa officers...

HI Guys,

I am so happy that CIC opened FSW this year. I submitted my application last year under NOC 2131, but unfortunately, the cap reached by the time I sent the packet. Now, I have the whole packet ready to submit again, except updated bank statement and PCC. I will post my updates on this thread, might help others.

Hello everyone,

I had previously applied for FSWP 2013 under NOC 2147 and after going through the thread I decided to apply under NOC 2281 as I have related work experience.


My point of concern is that I work in a branch office here in Qatar & our head office is in KSA (Saudi Arabia), I was able to get reference letter from my IT director who resides in KSA last time but this time around he is on a business trip and it will be difficult for me to get a reference letter signed by him. Can I submit a reference letter from my branch HR and attach the previous one given by my IT director?

As I mentioned there are some changes I noticed in the IMM forms. Kindly check if you had prepared & stored the forms earlier.

1. IMM 5612E -Document checklist- in CIC website says as it is from May 2013 (05/2013). After you download you can see that the new one is updated on March 2014 (03/2014).

2. IMM0008E- Schedule 3 Economic Classes- Federal Skilled Workers- In CIC site-May 2013 (05/2013). But after download we can see it is updated on August 2013 (08/2013).


In case if you have the old form with you, kindly use the new version filled and wait till May 1.

2. In 'national identity document' field , what are the identity documents are valid except passport?

1) Need to mention the NOC (xxxx) - Name of the Occupation in the NOC list and not your job title.
Example : 2147-Computer Engineers(Except Software Engineers)

2) National Identity mean if you from India like Voter ID Card or Aadhar Card etc...

Hello Seniors and fellow members,

I have a question regarding 'choosing the visa office' in the General Application Form.

I have been living in the US for the last 6 years and I understand i can choose either US (LA or NYC) or India (New Delhi) Visa office.But due to some uncertainties over my GreenCard and H1B extensions goof ups/delays I am contemplating of choosing New Delhi.If in a best case scenario, my application were be to processed 'successfully' should

1 I have to go to India to submit the passport and wait in limbo for 4-8 weeks until I get the passport ? or
2.I could submit the passport in any of the visa offices in the US to get it stamped ? or
3.Just choose US visa office in the General application and transfer the case to India if I had to leave US in future due to visa issues ?

Has anyone faced/facing a similar situation or know a better way to handle this situation ?

I appreciate yours input and apologize if this post were to be against the intended topic

Brother first of all since u r in US over one yr then as per rule ur VISA OFFICE will be CPC-OTTAWA not NY or in US VO...

I think u may choose 1 or 3 (2 is not valid for u so far i know)..selecting NDVO, PPLs had sent their PP with frnds to india for PP request..(0ption-1) and for the option -3 u can still do that but it could delay ur processing...

Now option is on ur hand,....

I am currently on a short official visit to Sweden for a month. I just came 2 weeks before. Should i mention that in forms as my current address. or provide that information in Supplementary form. I do not want to complicate the things.

This thread is growing so fast!

I applied in 2013 under FSW NOC 1112, but my package got returned, having been received after the quota of 300 was reached.
Now I do intend to re-apply, re-using as many documents as possible.

A few questions:
1. what would be the earliest acceptable dates on the employer letters? For NOC 1112 my letter is dated June 18 2013, and for another NOC that I have experience in, the date is June 19 2012. I remember at least for the primary NOC, one has to have in the letter a min number of job duties satisfied from the total set of job duties listed in that NOC on the CIC website, with the first 1-2 duties being mandatory - can someone confirm?

2. my old IELTS is from December 2011, would it be ok now to send the application as soon as possible and include proof of registering for a new IELTS test, together with the official report from the 2011 exam?

3. last year I used a law firm to help prepare my application (which wasn't of much help...) and I only had one ECA report which was sent to them. This ECA report is now in my hands. Would I need to order a new report that doesn't show the name of the law firm?

1. Try to match/write/highlight as much as experience with NOC 1112 that u do...And there is no such notification..Get most updated work letter.

2. No u have to take new IELTS...

3. U dont need to take ECA right now.. U can use the existing one...But i cant understand what do u mean by "doesn't show the name of the law firm?"
