There are nearly 400 applications received prior to 15th of June waiting for the CC to be charged / DD to be encased!

That's a fairly large number, lack of communication from CIO about the applications still waiting to be charged is worrying!

If this is how they work in Canada, then it'd be lot more challenging to migrate over there.

I fully agree with you dear but we are at the receiving end.

1. can anyone help me with which type of Driver history report is required from residents of Victoria(Australia) for PCC ?
i mean 5 yr or full license history report?

2. National police certificate from AFP as 4 choices, which one we need- just name check or with fingerprints, from govt or non govt organisation?

Hi,

For 1) Are you currently residing in Australia? If so you need to contact the Australian transport authority for full license report, if you never held any driving license from Australia they will give you a report stating, you never held any driving license in Australia. If you had or having, they will give you detailed driving report. I have stayed before in Brisbane and contacted them, I am just pasting below the same email which I got it from Authority, may be it will be useful for you.

To obtain your Driver Traffic History you are required to provide the following:
A completed Release of Information Application (Form F2121); and
A covering letter including the email address or fax number if you wish for the report to be returned to you via email or fax; and
Certified copies of three (3) Evidence of Identity documents. A full list of acceptable Evidence of Identity documents is available on the Evidence of Identity Requirements Information Sheet (Form F4362); and
Pay an application fee of $20.25 order in Australia dollars (AUD); and
Forward this documentation to the following address:

Your request will be processed on receipt of the above requirements.

The current application fee for a release of information application is $20.25. The fee is payable by personal, company or bank cheque or money order in Australia dollars AUD made payable to the Department of Transport and Main Roads. The application fee is payable for each history extract requested. Please note the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) does not offer electronic funds transfer, direct deposit or credit card payment options for this service.

Please allow up to ten working days for TMR to process your application from the date it is received and additional time for overseas postage. You can also request a copy of your traffic history by email. The printed copy will follow by mail.

Please note, when lodging a release of information application from interstate, an exemption from providing original Evidence of Identity (EOI) documents applies and copies are acceptable. However, your application cannot be processed if the copies of your EOI documents are not clear and certified by an authorised person. Persons authorised to verify the authenticity of documents include:
Health Professional
Police Officer
Consular or Ambassadorial Officer
Solicitor, Barrister or Judge
Justice of the Peace or a Commissioner for Declarations
Notary Public or a person who is authorised by law to witness and sign declarations
The witness must sign and print their full name, position title/designation and contact details (including office stamp). You may have to pay a fee to have these documents witnessed. All documents are required to be witnessed in English or have an English translation.

2) Just need name check only. It clearly mentioned in CIC website. It cost A$ 45.00. You need to have proof identity for applying. Just read through the AFP guidelines for PCC. I have already applied and received it on this July.
