Hello Canol and seniors Please help.

I am at the point of reference letter and from the last 15 days i am in confused state as whether should i talk to HR for Reference letter or Leave it as not sure what will be the impact of this on my current Job.
My manager is ready to give me the reference letter on a plain Paper.
Please suggest

1) Whether I will go with My Manager reference letter on a plain paper along with his Visiting Card.
2) Whether The Reference letter on a plain Paper need to be notarized,
3) Thus we have to make an affidavit saying that HR of my company is not giving Reference letter ???(of which i am not sure whether they will provide or not. they will ask a lot of questions and i have to explain it to them then to my senior manager and might be the unit Head which is really a great headache)
4) i also read in the form as we have to mention the Annual Salary thus it is ok if we mention the salary of the last Month only???

PLease suggest guys this is the only thing which is creating problem for me and delaying my application
I am looking for 2281

Letter from manager is fine. It needs to have details of job duties, Salary (annual), date of joining / leaving, designation, work hours, etc. Attach last few salary slips, certificates if any from your organisation, promotion letters, etc.
I have got this done on stamp paper and notarised the same, though this is not mandatory. Can be done on plain paper.

For point no. 3... i suppose u must have emailed your employer to give you a reference letter. If not, then please email them and when they reply you refusing to send u duties list, attach that email with your document. There was a discussion about this a long time back where a person got his CC charged even though he didnt have the duties list...but he had attached proof of emails as a conversation proving that company doesnt support such duties..and I think it will help ur application to add such proof's as well.
FYI, Even i have send this email to CIC because my company gave me just a short duties list :)

He will give up but I wouldn't give up... That's why.

Life goes onnnnnnn.....

I have been following the forum for sometime, this is my first post and would like to really appreciate the responses and support each one gives here. BRAVO to all specially the seniors and pros !! :)

I am having trouble and would like suggestions and advice on following concerns relating to adding spouse: (12 Aug 2014 single applicant awaiting PER and planning to get married)

1. What is the appropriate and effective time to add spouse to avoid unnecessary delays in processing ?

2. What are the requirements for adding spouse, or what additional documentation is usually requested by VO ?

3. How does adding spouse affect the application in terms of processing time ?

Thank you.

Dear seniors,

Do you know what is the email address that CPC-Ottawa visa office use to send MR and police certificates?

Thanks,

Thanks Canol,

sorry just need more clarificaiton as

1) you are saying that you have done the complete reference letter on a Stamp paper. Is that correct. ?
and on the stamp paper also signature of the Manager is requried.

Actually another problem is that my Manager is leaving for Quebec after two days so need to do it within two days.
so i have to decide it by tommorow otherwise my application will get delayed further.

2) can i do the notarisation of the reference letter given by him on a plane paper.

this is about the reference letter in which i am currently working.

Another thing is that we were both in previous company and he was my manager there also . Now that company is closed and we all are taken by the sister company of our previous company.

in this case also the similar conditions apply as for current company for the reference letter.

Please suggest, sorry as i am again disturbing.

My question here is the following. I applied for FSW program under the NOC code 2171 Information Systems Analysts and Consultants. On the website they give a general description of the unit group and Then they describe the main duties for four occupations:

Information systems business analysts
Systems security analysts
Information systems quality assurance analysts
Systems auditors

If you expand the "View All Titles" link, there are many other occupations related to this unit. In my case there are two titles in that list which match my experience; Information Technology Analyst and Computer Consultant. These jobs have their own duties that are similar but not exactly the same as the ones described with the four occupations given in the summary section.
Since my application was sent with this code and my work experience is with those titles I already mentioned, and the particular duties for these two are not directed declared in the website, will they assess my work experience valid for this code?

Thank you for your time and help.

Title doesn't matter. Matching the duties listed in the NOC is what matters.

Hello all,
My friend has applied for NOC 2174 on June 9. His CC has not yet been charged and CIO has not replied his email about file status.
The only thing that worries him is that the company that he works for has just mentioned his position as Computer Programmer and no job duties.
Is that a problem? Is her rejected or what?

Having a description of job duties (from the company or a supervisor, not from oneself) and matching it to the duties listed in the NOC is absolutely crucial and mandatory for this process. If your friend submitted a letter only mentioning his title without duties, it is 100% a rejection.
