Guys,

Jaxon ignited the forum. His credit card is charged for the pizza ordered. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Exactly! It was getting bit boring so I thought I'd do something to get the forum ignited! ;-)

BTW, someone asked which one did I order, I ordered a Vegetarian Hot Pizza, from Domino's UK (I know they don't accept online / CC payment for delivery orders in India, but they do here in the UK)! BTW, Domino's pizza in the UK are much better compared to Domino's India or Domino's USA!

Thanks a lot for the reply.
Could you please also let me know if I need to write the whole name (Parminder Kaur) in surname sections and leave the given name sections empty in the rest of the forms as well?
Thanks & Best Regards
Just write "Parminder Kaur" in "Family Name" & leave "Given Name" blank (no need to write N/A). Do the same for all other forms, IMM5669E - Background/Declaration, IMM5562E - Travel, imm0008_3e - Schedule 3 & any other form that have separate Familty/Given name fields.

Hello FSW 2014 Applicants,

Wishing all the FSW 2014 applicants who applied, a quick PER / Processing of application and those who got their Visa, a happy and prosperous life in Canada.

I would like to inform you that we have a FB group for discussing all the settlement issues in Canada. Since the setting for the fb group has been selected as "secret" so only group members see the group, who's in it & what members post. Friends and relatives of the group member will not know anything about the group.

Since the fb group is to discuss settlement issues and Networking, we have the following two conditions for applicants wishing to join the fb group:

1) Applicants must have PER.
2) Applicants must join with their regular fb profile.

We have many applicants in the fb group who have already landed and they can be a great help for discussing settlement issues across Canada. Also you can share useful info and help other members by answering their queries.

All the FSW2014 Applicants who meets the above two conditions and wish to join the fb group shall PM me the email id which they use to log in to their fb account.

Thank you.

What's the name of that group... ??

Hi all,

Can anyone answer me this question?

I'm preparing my application and hopefully everything will be done by end of November. Is it too late for me to submit in Dec? I'm worry that the cap can be reached at that time. My NOC code is 5125.

Also, I'm not clear about the 25,000 cap. Is it a 500 for each occupations or there's no exact cap for each occupation as long as the 25,000 is reached? In the website also mention the sub-caps of 1,000 for each occupation. What does it all mean?

Thank you for your help and info.
When your application is received:
If fewer than 25,000 applications have been received overall AND
Fewer than 1,000 applications have been received within your NOC
Then you will be in the cap.

5125 is an ice cold NOC and won't be capped. The overall cap also won't be reached. You're fine.

Hello future_canadian,

Reagarding WES report, they sent me two copies of reports, are they both considered as original ?
They mentioned that my degree Canadian equivalency is Master's degree, so would I get 23 points ?

Actually, it's a funny story. I appeared for my IELTS back in 2009 (when I used to live in Mumbai), I scored 8 points. After living in London (and in an English speaking Country) for over 4 years, I thought I would manage to score 8.5 without any kind of prep so I decided to book test on earliest appointment available, which didn't allow me time to prepare for the test! I ended up with only 7.5 score, fortunately that was enough for the purpose of my application for FSW Program. This goes to show that some prep and practice is required before appearing for any test, however confident you are!

Yes. 23 points. In fact, both copies are original ones. Retain one copy safe for future purpose. And, please attach the other copy to the application.

CIC application must be accompanied by original ECA sent by WES.

Best of Luck...

They do accept online payment for delivery orders in India. Not sure when was the last time you tried it, but they have been accepting online orders for more than a year now, I guess (at least for my city/location). ;D

Hi,

I am having Undergraduate degree from back home in Electronics Engineering and I have my Masters degree in Electrical and Computer Science from Concorida University, Canada. Currently I am residing in Canada but on Student study/work permit

I have around 1 year of work exp from July 2011 - Aug 2012 in the capacity of Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians NOC 2241.

I need to know the following

1. Even though I have Canadian Master Degree, do I still need to go for IELTS exam or I have to appear for some other exams and what is that exam name. Also at what time these English test report is needed. Is it needed at the first step of application or they are required at some time in the middle process of application.
2. In adaptability section, I have a Master degree from Canada which gives me 5 points. However, my brother is a Permanent Resident (PR) card holder of Canada. Will I be able to claim another 5 points for my brother PR.
3. For my undergraduate degree, which agencies I need to get them evaluate. Also at what step I need to submit these evaluated certificate. Are they needed at the first step of application or they are required at some time in the middle process of application.

Thanks
You need to review the Guide here to familiarize yourself more with the program: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

To answer your questions:

1. Everyone must take a language exam, no exceptions. Most take IELTS but CELPIP is accepted as well.
2. Yes, you can get up to 10 points for adaptability.
3. You must submit your degree evaluation with your application. Read the Guide to see the requirements and find out which agencies can evaluate your degrees and how to get this done.

Also note that your "about a year" of experience in an eligible NOC must be MINIMUM of one year of full-time experience, during a time when you were not a full-time student, in order to be eligible.

Good luck.
