Procedure to get CIC agent on phone
ü Call at – 0016139444000
ü Select 1 for English
ü Then 1 for foreign affair
ü 1 for immigration
ü Call is being transferred to CIC
ü Then 1 for English
ü 2 for status
ü 1 for PR
ü When it asks you to enter UCI number just be on hold n let it say it 3 times then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
ü Agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc.

Unfortunately the answer is no. They look the scores at one sitting of the exam. I tried that and it did not work. I sat the exam again and reapplying now.

I have come across a very interesting question by one of my friend (not part of this forum so far)
He had taken IELTS and was not eligible because he scored 5.5 in writing. He took IELTS again, this time he scored 6.5 in writing but 5.5 in lisening.
Is there any chance that he can use both his results to apply ? I did not find any relevant positive or negative info on CIC. Kindly give your opinion.

Dude,

You can write to the Visa Officer, and explain him the real situation. I believe your reasoning is quite genuine, and beyond your control, and Visa Officer are quite understandable in these situations. Just make sure you explain every thing with some supporting facts in the covering letter.

And ask for the appropriate advice and acknowledgement from them.

URGENT:

Does anyone know how flexible the Visa Offices are when they ask for your Police Certificate? At the end of August, the FBI police certificate was taking 22 days (according to their website). It seems now that they updated their IT system and it is now taking 8 to 10 weeks. Would be visa office be flexible? If it takes more than 8 weeks, it's the end of my application :-[

Hi friends...

Now some of our friends have received MR and PP requests, let me know if anyone has sent Police certificates that are more than 3 months old.

I received PCC from USA on July 7th and 3 months time period ends on October 7th. I am May 12th applicant got my PER, still waiting to receive MR and PCC request from CPC-O. Does CPC-O accept PCC issued older than 3 months?

By the grace of Almighty Allah I got my PER few days ago. My VO is SGVO.

I got an opportunity to do my MS in advertising Leeds university with 70% scholarship. I don't want to miss it. But my problem is

1. if I go to uk with a 1 year student visa will there be any problem to my application.
2. will my visa office remain the same
3. My employer will not let me leave he is ready to grant me an unpaid leave.
4. My wife will not go with me. Will that create any problem.
Please seniors help me with this issue.

Thank you very much TheMapleLeaf It's a relief to know that the VOs would be understanding. I applied for FBI PCC on Sept 5th and got the PCC request on Sept 16th. Really need to keep my fingers crossed.

HELP HELP HELP!!!

I have been desperately waiting for my CC to be charged. I live in the USA and had provided an American Express Card number. I receive an e-mail from American Express that a fraud activity was reported to my card. I check the e-mail and it shows "CITIZENSHIP IMM FSW" It seems American Express blocked my card and did not approve the transaction. I have called the bank and removed the block.

My only concern is How do I contact CIC and ask them to charge my card again? I am a May 30th Applicant. I am not sure if CIC will attempt to charge my card again.

Any opnions? I am really worried.

I hired a consultant who is in Canada & I am suspecting that he is not dealing with my case properly and not providing me the updated information.

Is there any way so that I can contact New Delhi Visa Office directly and advise them to send any further information to my email id directly from now onwards??????? (It was a great mistake using my consultant's email id as the communication email id) :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
