Good news! I have received my PER on 12 Sep @ 2.11am.
NOC 1123
Application recd: 20 May
For info:
1. I have self-attested duties
2. I sent an additional package on 29 May (received at CIC on 4 Jun) containing left-out reference letter signed by my immediate superior, and acknowledged by CIC to have successfully matched with the initial aplication
3. I did not write my name on the space on consent and declaration on IMM0008 form but I signed it
4. I checked with HSBC on 2 Sept but DD still not cashed yet and about to check again today
5. I used tons of staples
6. I left gaps in history
7. I did not send mailing labels

Its a very good SS. Great job of keeping it updated. +1 seems too little for the worth of it but anyways here you go.
Just a small query, does it auto update the estimates of charging etc as now a days pace of CIC is quite fast.

Yes, it does! Most of it is automated enough and is able to keep itself updated even if admins don't touch it. I just oversee it from time to time to ensure it works as expected.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that there were issues with my and my husbands Birth Certificate (Read - incorrect spelling/ no name mentioned on BC)

I provided original BC's in the form they were. Affidavit from both parents stating that it is me and why the error on BC. Translation in one BC and the affidavit by the translator.

All this and I have my PER too now.

Now once requested I am planning to send the rectified/ new BCs to NVDO.

Got both BC's fixed meanwhile. changing spelling is simple - parent(since we dont live in India) went to Mumbai Muncipality I believe and placed a request. It was ready within a week.

Name on BC was obtained as the hospital I was born in still existed and have family on the board there - pulled some strings - obtained records - approached muncipality and it was done ...i guess in a month.

Hope this helps someone get clarity.

Read my post in arusso's post and then the 2 links in there take you to 2 posts that again have my post in them (might need to scroll up or down or move to a previous page). One of the 2 links opens to page 3361 as you will notice, however need to move to the previous page, 3360, for the last post there.

Ignore the word of caution there as it was meant to let folks know that this is to be used in emergency situations only.

Need to courier the material as well as email the scanned version, and most importantly ask for confirmation on whether the document has been successfully added. All the information is already there - just read it very carefully please. Cheers!

Want to share with you that my later sent document was added to my original application and confirmation on the same has been sent to me.

I added a cover letter after I had sent my original application. This cover letter (to explain a reference letter issue) was couriered to CIC after about 45 to 50 days of my original application courier date. I had also scanned the same cover letter and sent an email to CIO mentioning that an additional courier via tracking # so and so will be in CIO by XYZ date and it needs to be added as a cover letter to my original application (with UCI # 12345678, as I had UCI from last year) that was received on ABC date for NOC category XXXX and my date of birth is LMN and passport # is GHI etc. etc.

Today I received an email response from CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca saying that "Correspondence received and added to your file. You will be contacted further in due course. Thank you."

I would still assume that sending an incomplete application and expecting that anything would be added to file later might not happen. Also, there is a risk that the application receive date also moves back to the date of the later sent document. I realize in my case the later sent document was not really significant as my fee was charged by the time my second courier reached CIC (actually while it was in transit) so they were not really too fussy about the explanation given in my cover letter sent later.

PS - I hope too many people do NOT start sending additional material in hopes that it will get added, because they might set themselves for disappointment. This could be a one off case (because you all know very well LOL I am a one off guy) Wink Wink Just thought of sharing this anyway!!!

Hi, There is 85% to 90% chance that it will work, as I have been successful in getting a later sent material added to my application. But this needs to be done the right way.

In the e-mail please apologize for the inconvenience caused; also request them a confirmation that the new details have been added to package.

For reference purpose please tell them the courier details, tracking number and approximate receive date of the later send courier to CIC. Of course scan and send the content of the later sent courier in the email as well. Plus for the original application send as many data points as possible like UCI #, passport #, full name, application receive date, date of birth, NOC category applied to etc etc

The above has more chance of working when one's application has some time left for CIC to be picked basis one's original application date (versus the date they are currently working on). So if one sends for a 6th June application now it should definitely work. Might not work for May 9th or earlier application at this time is my guess.

PS - The above should in NO way be taken as a routine matter where now several folks try sending additional content to CIC. This increases their work load and slows the processing of normal applications so please keep in mind guys!!! Smiley

Yes, reference letter. It can be of any date post your last day at that job

Means: if my last day was 7th Aug 2012, then it can be dated for any date after 7th Aug, 2012. Correct?

I sent the courier thru DHL from delhi on 4th sep and it was recieved on sep 10 by Mr. Dan .I didnt hear this name anywhere for the FSW2014 couriers delivered till date...bit confused about it...... :

also when i send the new employment letter should it also follow the format where i have to mention all my duties and responsibilities ???
