BTW, i have replied this query just 2 mins back. Same tracking no. is not an issue as long as each applicants docs are sent in separate envelopes in one large envelope.

Have you guys realized that the CHARGE date on the SS has changed drastically?
My application got at CIO on August 27th and my charge estimate date was around early February 2015. Now the SS says I might get charged from 12 to 26 do December 2014! Wow! Great news!

Does anyone have a clue why that changed so drastically?

Relax!!! The ss estimation was changed yesterday because CIC's speed has increased based on recent (about 1 month) data.

Thank you everyone for the support. We have sent the application on 5th and it reached yesterday. I made the payment through DD. Just asking out of curiousity...how long would it take to get the PER in my case ?

Yes, that is coz the SS owner changed the calculations based on recent trends its a good news for everyone

Hi all,

I have sent my FSW application dated 4th sep'14 which should have reached CIO-NS by 10th sep.

My query is: On Schedule A, page number 4, I have put my signature but unfortunately I missed writing the date (i know its a real silly mistake and i cant stop beating myself up for this blunder). Sad :-[

Apart from this all things in the forms are mentioned correctly. Will this cause my application to be returned? or it will be okay?

Guys, a question. A cousin of mine is a July applicant for the HR Manager category (I don't remember the NOC). A month after applying, he left his job and doesn't plan on doing a regular 9-5 job anymore. He has about 9 years experience in HR related jobs previously. Anyhow, his current vocation is that he plans on constructing and selling homes - a very lucrative business in his hometown of Lahore, for those who are familiar with the market. The question he asks now is that, if and when time comes for MR etc, he would have to inform VO about him leaving his job. So, how does he categorize this current state of earning? Would he say he's unemployed - he's doing one house at a time, so it can't be called a business, I guess. ( no salary slips, regulated earning etc etc). Any ideas??

I think your cousin would certainly be categorized as self-employed. I am not sure what needs to be submitted to the VO but since the VO would be local, he/she would probably know the market and will be able to give direction as to what needs to be submitted as employment documents in this case? Also, one option would be to show proof of purchase of new property, contract showing construction work, sale proof (if any), and license or whatever is required to enter this kind of business (if any)?

Today I got email from LVO asking to pay fees for the PR and submit PCC & Medical. Looks like LVO is processing very fast as the time duration between the processing start date and MR request date is 4 working days.

British council do provide an additional copy if someone has applied for Canada Immigration. They ask for certain proofs indicating that you have applied to CIC. Someone in the forum did manage to get an additional IELTS report. Try speaking with them again and tell them that you have sent the original to CIC and would need another copy for yourself. May be they will inform you about the procedure to follow.

Bypass The British Council, Go directly with The Cambridge university. I wrote them on their helpdesk system and They replied me The next day asking for my shipping info. They send The ielts copy vía UPS, took 4 days to arrive. Excelent service.
