Hi Everyone!

I would like to share something, it's kinds important.

Last week when we were about to mail our application, we were worried about lots of details, as many of you would have been or still are going through a similar experience. One thing I was not at all concerned was any issues with a courier service; I was planning to use DHL. I used DHL for WES and it had been smooth, speedy and well tracked.

But Nova Scotia is a different region and I never thought DHL doesn't have a service there; they deliver up to Ontario and not further instead they use a third party service from Ontario onward. My package reached on Tuesday the 2nd and that is when DHL last updated the status and since then it has been 'Forwarded for Delivery' and I am clueless about the present status of the courier. It is horrible; I never even thought I would be stuck with this, I was simply wondering if the CIC officials will have some issue or the other but this one is out of the spectrum.

Bottom line; use a service which has direct delivery in Canada and that is NOT DHL, I believe UPS is one of the companies which has such service in Canada. Do some research if you can. I am really worried now, it's been over a week and I have no clue at all about my package.

If anyone has some inputs on this, please share.

I have spoken to DHL India and DHL Canada (No help)
I have got the tracking ID of the third party which I am unable to track on their website. (Net Parcel)

My wife is the primary applicant in our case and since we received our PER on 27th August I have a question to ask all of you.

I stayed in US for a good amount of my professional career in the last few years ending my stint in 2012.

My wife has never been out of country.

Now since I am not the primary applicant , is the PCC from the so called FBI mandatory for me??

If yes, anyone from Pune, MH who has completed this activity in the recent past?

Pls help me.

I applied for 4011 category on 14 May 2014. Today I am able to check my application status using old UCI and it shows " APPLICATION IN PROCESS". Till now I was not able to check the status.

What does that mean? Many of 16th May 2014 Applicants have received PER. I have not... I am not able to confirm with the bank my DD status.

What Should I do?

Hi guys! If your cc/dd got charged, there is a high chance of getting PER right? slim chance of rejection? Or are there cases where cc is charged and got rejected? thanks in advance!

Draft can be encashed by CIC at times, in case expiry date of the draft is close. But most of the times, it is an indicator of PER on its way.

YES. Even if you are not the primary applicant.

CIC clearly states "CIC will also do background checks anywhere you and your family members have lived. These checks will show if you have had any arrests or convictions, or if you are a security risk to Canada."

Hi - regarding fee payment, I am planning to take Demand Draft from either HDFC/ICICI banks (India). Since they are International banks which offers forex, I hope it should be fine. Can someone confirm ?

On a serious note, why do you need a consultant ? I have hired one, but after joining this forum realised that people here understand things better than a consultant. So get tyour queries sorted out here and send the application on your own. no need for a consultant who will do nothing and charge a hefty fee.

My Queries -
how to pay the fees?
There were no mention of any docs to be submitted unlike others who have posted in the thread. Does that mean, the docs that i submitted earlier would suffice?
In the email they have mentioned as - "Medical forms for all sent by a separate message". Does anyone got a follow up email on this. Do we need to wait for this? Where can i find the list of registered hospitals wherein i can take up MR?

Any other activity that we need to perform apart from this?
