Does this mean that all background checks etc etc have been done???

Also an important note --- My ECAS is not yet updated.....

Also the attachment mentions about Medicals to be submitted as well.....
Need a confirmation on the steps required now:
1. Pay fee online using the link above and print the receipt - I have to enter number of applications as 2 (as i need to pay 980 CAD)
2. Obtain PCC for my spouse and myself -- to be send in original
3. Need to get medicals done: to be send in original
4. Photocopies of my son's, wife's and my passports

All this needs to be packaged and sent to the address above...
Please confirm brothers....

CONGRATS...k_b...very soon. Many of us are surprised to see this. I can't believe how they managed to check the background and verify things. I mean they would have to verify the degrees, employment status etc. before requesting medicals. Am I right?

I thought they are conducting it only in the first week of November in chennai.
Are you from India ?

Please enlighten if my understanding is right re getting additional 4 points for language - FRENCH.

Speaking - at least a score of 226 or A2 level
Listening - at least a score of 181 or A1level
Reading - at least a score of 151 or A1 level
Writing - at least a score of 226 0r A2 level

Will be sitting the TEF exam 2nd week of October.

Please help.

I havent informed the HR department in my company as i have got the experience letter from a very senior person of my company bt not my boss as getting it from boss means getting into his bad list i hope u understand corporate culture ..........
So i was worried whether my HR manager will be contacted or the person who has signed my letter of experience ??
If I take into account our company's past record . No cal was received from immigration department nd pepl got the PR as well..........
So pl. throw sum lite nd save my sleepless nights....

As per my understanding background check does not happen for each and every applicant... They are reviewing and processing these type of PR applications since years... So, I guess background check happens for few randomly chosen or suspected application cases...

My sentiments exactly....... Dropped the idea of sitting for this exam as the only date available was in Chennai and that too on 1st September.... not November though. Wasn't really willing to delay the application for mere 4 points since I had already obtained 24 for language.

If the case looks very believable to them they won't waste time in checking background details - only if it looks suspicious or for some random sampling to maintain a controlled process at their end they do these checks - definitely not for all (e.g. possibly most of the times not for folks working in large MNCs etc.)

k_b's case probably seemed too innocent for them to be wasting time doing detailed background checks is my guess mate!!

Its at the discretion of the VO. They are all trained to look for fraud. Even proper documentation helps a lot. If they are satisfied they wouldn't verify each and every detail.

The person who has signed "MAY".. Please note its "may" be contacted not will... So try to sleep in the night.. If not then you can sleep in the daytime office hours.. because you know a very senior person of your company.. and appraisal season is still 5-6 months far from now...

yeah even I did not write this for the same reason, I was anyway getting 72 overall.
And these guys don't accept DELF. I have a B2 in DELF. The Quebec immigration guys accept DELF but the Federal guys want TEF and not DELF..weird !!
But, I might still take the exam in November, just in case I don't get in the cap this time, I want to apply for express entry with the French included. It is not about the points, but it might open a few more jobs for us.

Well i would still say nothing is 100% accurate as its all speculation. 8)
