Dear Century in the guideline it is mentioned photocopy of translated paper should be certified from notary and an affidavit from the person who is certifying it.
I can get it notarized but he is not ready to give an affidavit.

Hi Guys,

Im 8th May 2014, DD applicant. I got PER on 14th August 2014.
Currently, my ECAS status is "In Process". Can anyone plz tell me tht:

1) what does "In Process" means. Does it mean tht my application is in London Visa Office and background check in progress (becoz in PER email there is no mention of Visa Office)?

2) what will be the next steps? If it will be MR then in how much time i can expect it?

3) Can any senior plz tell abt the further steps after PER and wht could be the expected time ?

Dear - Sit back and relax , congrats for PER though. You case is with the visa office now and they will review It for further processing. The process will take its time

There are 5 boxes to write those. So use those boxes.

As long as your NOCs fall under the skill level O, A, and B, you will get full points regardless the 50 eligible NOCs. But ensure proper reference letter for getting points.

Need your advice again. My local visa office has requested for PCC from my home country and from the country I presently live in. My relatives issued PCC on behalf of me from my home country. Now, is it ok if I send PCC separately from two different countries ? In that case my relatives will send PCC directly from my home country to the local visa office. or I need to send PCC from both countries all together? In that case my relatives will send PCC to me at first. I will be glad if someone can help me on this. Thanks.

Yes than that should do it for the previous employers (dont forget to explain that in a cover letter though)

I would send both together myself, just for giving convincing reply to the query raised by visa office in single shot( this may cost you a week time & courier expenses but at this stage you can afford).

OBTAINING A PCC FROM SAUDI ARABIA

Dear guys,

Though that I will share some information on getting a PCC from Saudi Arabia. I am from India and I expect the procedures to be pretty much the same for all other countries. I am putting down this info as per the inputs I got when I called the Indian embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

You have to gather the below said documents:

1. Your finger print attested by the finger print bureau (Each state and districts has one or more as I understand) These authorities are the same ones who goes to verify the finger print on a crime scene

2. Your passport copies with the Saudi visa pages 2 Sets

3. Copies of your iqama (Saudi national identity card) 2 Nos

4. Passport size photos 2-4 Nos

5. A request letter to the respective embassy in Saudi Arabia

All these documents have to be taken to the respective embassy first and request a "NOC for Saudi PCC" from them which they will issue. This NOC has to be translated (Not sure from English to Arabic OR from Arabic to English). Later on the translated thing has to be taken to the Foreign ministry for attestation. And after that, it has to be taken to the respective local police department who will issue a PCC.

If you are outside Saudi, you can get your friends or relatives run this for you (In the above said request letter,You may also have to authorize someone who will run the show on behalf of you, mentioning their name and iqama number)
Normally there are agencies, which are called "General Service" in Saudi Arabia, who undertake these kind of works with a fee.

All the above info was given by an official in Indian embassy, Riyadh. Cant be sure if the procedure could be exactly the same for different nationalities.

Hey Mikey, since you're a British Citizen you can avail of the visa without arrival process ( which I am sure you're already aware of). This is important for you, in case a scenario such as the following presents itself :

a ) You don't get your PER in time before your work permit expires : Go cross the border to the USA and on your way back you can always say that you're in Canada for tourism. ( just as long as your employer agrees to give you some time off, since you wouldn't want to be working in Canada on a Tourist Visa). Of course, the CBSA officers will ask you specific questions just to ascertain that you're in fact a visitor and not there for a dual purpose. So better read on the internet for the probable questions and answers.

b ) In case you do get your PER just right before your work permit expires, you can always apply for the work permit and work under implied status. This is a very common scenario and you can call up CIC to enquire more about "implied" status.

Maybe you're already aware of these scenarios, just my 2 cents.

How much time ur Local VO has given to you for arranging PCCs. Is their any deadline ????
