I read someone here on the forum say that the 1.000 application cap for each NOC is considering 1.000 applications RECEIVED, not ACCEPTED. Learning that if they receive 1k applications for X NOC they shut it down even if 200 from those 1k are not accepted. Is that so? That doesn't make much sense.

And also, the current - Total received toward the overall cap: 1,891 of 25,000 - info on CIC means that 1.891 applications have received PER, right?

It is 1000 PER, not 1000 received. So relax.

People will tell 10 things and usually many of them are right, since it is basis their experience. You need to choose one and stick to it. It doesn't have to be what I say. But just don't panic, once you have chosen a path. Enjoy!!!

Okay, Oscar. You mentioned that there were people who did the same thing I did and the application was delivered fine. I'm just afraid as I think anyone else would be by now... rs. It should be in Sydney this Wednesday. So I shall wait! Thank you for your advice.

Finally received PER mail.. So happy now... ;D ;D

Here I would like to share my experience with you all...

In starting month of July, through this forum only I came to know that along with ECA report, foreign education credential (Degree certificate) is also required which I forgot to attached. Then I sent it by separate courier and mentioned my UCI number and other details. I was not sure whether it will be attach to my original application or not. But finally my CC got charged and received PER too. It seems that CIC people are very cooperative in this case and matched up the missing documents.

I would like to thank Ashif, Oscar 7, future_canadian, islandbabe who all have helped me a lot during entire process. Please forgive me if I missed anyone name here.

Need not to worry, its a small town and receives 100's of apps everyday round the year addressed to 49 Dorchester street .......... Do u think, courier guy will even look at the address if a package is 0.5Kg or more????

More importantly, the P.O Box address is also of CIC for FSW but its for apps sent through regular post. The courier guys usually need to deliver to a person that is why they have given the address of reception.

worst come Worst case, by sending it to P.O.B u may not get the name of the person who received it.

Net Net, in all possible scenarios ur app will reach same place, may be few hours late (i.e. when CIC opens the P.O.B, which they would be doing at end of the day).

I had applied for 2174 recently but it seems that the cap will be reached way before my turn..
- Can I apply again with a Consultant job or it has to be a fulltime in order to be eligible for over and above the quota ?
- Is there any other NOC which has similar job responsibilities so that I can consider reapplying under that?

If you already called FedEx, why didn't you explain the situation to them and give them the street address? Your package will get there either way. Stop making a mountain out of a molehill. Your application will probably go the following route and get delivered on Wednesday:
