Dear Seniors,

I have some doubts about PCC and POF as well.

1.Yesterday I visited Local SP office(M.P) for PCC but I was really disappointed with the response of them, local police say that PCC will be issued only by passport office and if, they get request from Immigration dept.(Letter from immigration requesting PCC) then they will issue.
So my question is should I apply online in passportindia.gov.in if Yes then does it work for Canada FSW or should I wait for request from immigration for PCC.
I guess PCC can be availed before the request from VO right? .

2. For POF if I deposit money in FD today and take the FD certificate after 2 or 3 days , does it work for POF.

Pls clarify seniors members from india.

Hi rags,
1. Getting PPC is very easy now via passport seva Kendra.
I have applied online via passportindia. gov.in and booked a slot by paying 500.
Visited passport seva Kendra as per slot time (I got slot after 4 days), with in one hour of process I got the PCC in my hand.
Note: they asked me write a letter why I want PCC. I have mentioned as I need it to apply for FSW.
as my current address and passport address are same, they asked to bring only copy of passport and no other document are required.
So go ahed and complete.
2. I have taken a FD just like you on same day after transferring the funds. But I have provided FD copies and bank balance certificate only to CIC ( I have not provided the statement)

I live and work in gurgaon,haryana in a PG\Flat and dont have any adress proof and my permanent adress is of Punjab which is on passport and i have filled punjab adress on application forms as correspondence adress and residential also...SO I NEED PCC FROM PUNJAB OR HARYANA?

If you wrote down in form your current job location is Haryana , visa office on later stage might needs an address in haryana where you residing for your job and PCC (if you have completed 1 year at that address) from Haryana... Others advice needed.

If I were you, I will get PCC from Punjab which is the easiest and quickest way.

Generally PCC validity is for 6 months. You'll need to send it either with ur application or when asked by Local VO after PER.

2. After successful entry into the form, you will be redirected to a page. Please click on the "Edit your response"

3. Now you will redirected to another page, where you will find all your current entry in a from. For change or add entry in future either bookmark the page or copy and save the address from the address bar.

4. If you have your edit link, just open it and update your information. If you forgot to save "Edit your response" link, please resubmit and save it for future update. You old duplicate entry will be removed.

I have done a big mistake... My application reached on 4th June. I haven't sent my spouse BC instead attached X XII mark sheet and his Transfer certificate from college which contains DON and his father name. But mark sheet doesn't has his parents name. Will they return my application... Really worried.

Seniors please help me. Can I now send the affidavit for my spouse BC with covering letter to Cic. I'm really puzzled now. Don't know what to do at the moment. Is it too late to send the affidavit...

Is it really allowed not to include police clearance in application?
I been viewing spfeadsheet and a minority did not include PCC yet been processed.

Anyone there who received PER without PCC?

Please comment. Need help.

You can get the answer from Documents Checklist form
" You are strongly encouraged to submit your police certificates with your application to CIO. If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, we recommend that you take steps to obtain your police certificates now to avoid delays. You must be ready to submit them when requested by an officer. "
So dont worry.. You will be asked to submit PCC during later stages of the process

Can anyone confirm whether the capping updated on the website is only for those cases whose PER have been issued or is it the no. of packets of applications they have opened yet ?
