Document Fraud (Misrepresentation)

It is a serious crime to lie, or to send false information or documents, when you deal with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). This is fraud. It is called “misrepresentation.”

Document fraud can involve either false or altered documents, such as:
@passports and travel documents,
@visas,
@diplomas, degrees, and apprenticeship or trade papers,
@birth, marriage, final divorce, annulment, separation or death certificates, and
police certificates.

If you lie on an application or in an interview with a CIC officer, this is also fraud and a crime.

If you send false documents or information, CIC will refuse your application. You could also:

@be forbidden to enter Canada for at least two years,
@have a permanent record of fraud with CIC,
@have your status as a permanent resident or Canadian citizen taken away,
@be charged with a crime or
@be removed from Canada.

I don't know what your experience has been or will be...I have many friends in Canada who got a good job in 2 months as per their caliber...some even who were not managers here but deserved to be managers are managers now and one of friend who recently moved in May...got a job in June which was not for him though he did it to gain Canadian experience...and this Monday (18th Aug) he joined one of the best org's in the world as an ops manager....what will you say to that...this is the most recent and fresh example i can give...

It totally depends on your strategy and doing the right thing...the people who you are talking about tend to think a lot about cost savings and they will not hire consultants and recruiters which makes things possible...my friend hired 6 recruiters the week after he landed and in 3 weeks he landed with a decent job and started to earn...though he spent a few $$ for hiring them but that did the trick and this strategy was passed on to him from my other friends who are earning way higher than 50 - 60 K and the person i am talking about is also higher than 60K...you just need to relax and do the right thing...


Spend some money and be at the right place at the right time...!!! Now i might sound like a broken record...but it is what it is...!!! 8) 8) 8)

Thanks...Sometimes I just loose it...I dont know why people who are sitting there try to demotivate and portray a bad picture of Canada...what they don't think is that we and other people have dreams that we want to pursue and with this level of demotivation 50% confidence breaks...and the person instead of planning his /her strategy tries to think what if questions...pathetic feeling I tell you...

Even one of my colleague / friend went Canada on PR in June 2014 and within 1 week he got Job in Contact center with 13 $ per hour.
I think that is good as a fresher in a new country.

cheers bro...dont know why they portray so much bad... and the irony is that if the situation is so bad why are they still sitting there for so many years?

Every time they would have examples of Dr's and Engg. driving cabs etc...do they know the reason behind it...most of them are illegal immigrants...that's why they land up like that...

Remember guys...until you know the whole picture please do not portray it for us...I can also give you examples of people who willingly work as Truck drivers but were Dr. and Engg. ...but the real scenario is that they earn way more than 150,000 a year...that's the reason they chose that job.

Hi All,
I remember reading somewhere in the CIC website that we should not contact them if we submitted the application within the last 2 to 3 months as this is the normal processing time. in my case, my application has been received by them exactly 3 months back, on 20th of May. Should i email them asking about the status? would it speed up things? in fact the right question is, will i get an answer from them?

On a related note, how can i check if my bank draft has been encashed? i obtained it from Emirates Islamic Bank in UAE. Will the bank be able to tell me over the phone?

Hi, my application arrived on May 22nd, so our situations are similar... I wrote them on July 9th asking if my application arrived. They answer me today (August 20th) telling me that is arrived but no more information.
You can write them, in the site they say that you can write is you don't hear anything of them in 6-8 weeks, so go ahead.
