I am wondering to know again the points awarded for education. My MSc is in 'Electronics Engineering and has been assessed by WES as Canadian's equivalent. Thus I should get 23 points, I thought. However, an immigration consultant is insisting that 23 points is only for the degree program on Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry, Law, Chiropractic Medicine, or Pharmacy. Experts, pls advice...

I am May 7th NOC 2174 applicant got PER on 11th Aug. I have not got medical request yet, but I am planning to take medical test next week as i am going to chicago on the weekend for some other purspose. The place where i live in Kansas we dont have a approved physician.

can i complete medicals before i get medical request, or i have to wait for medical request.

You can as long as you use one of the approved physicians and follow all the necessary procedures. But be aware that when your visa is eventually issued, it will expire 1 year from the date of your medical exam, NOT 1 year from the date of issue. I am assuming your VO is CPC-O which has been fast. But nobody can really know when you will get MR or when they will finally issue your visa. You may find yourself with only a few months to land. Probably not, but you should be aware.

Hi

I have applied for noc 2173 and my application is received on june 16 th.But after 2 weeks of applying my cc got hacked by some online shopping scam and my bank provided new credit card .Initially I sent a mail to CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca explaining this situation and afterwards I called their customer care centre and one agent told me to send my new cc details via mail and via courier.I mailed them (CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca) new cc details on july 2nd and on same day I send them new payment form attached with a covering letter.Yesterday I got a reply from them for the first mail I sent on june 30 th mail is as follows



Good Afternoon:
Please be advised that our office can make no guarantee that the payment submitted separate from the application will be matched to the application prior to the assessment or return of your application. If you submit a new payment, please include your full name as per passport and your date of birth. If sent by courier, provide the tracking number.

Guys in form 5406, when spouse is filling, the main applicant is him or me? In whole application i am the main applicant
is that a big problem if i wrote in both cases me as an applicant?

On your spouse's form, he is the applicant and you are the spouse. But don't worry this is a common mistake and not fatal.

i want to inquire, if i have application number from CIC and can review my application status online which says we have received your application on 9th may 2014 date. Can i consider it as a Positive eligibility review by cic. or they will send me a mail confirming PER.

It's a good sign. But only the PER e-mail is truly a PER!

I have contacted the Angolan Embassy in Dubai and they advised that I should apply in person in Angola.
Do you think if I attach this email it will be considered as a true attempt?

They say you should approach the local police authority for a PCC. This is the first time I've seen a country where it doesn't give any advice for getting one remotely.

Can you contact the local police authority by phone or e-mail and ask them how one can be issued? Try to get them on the record such as by e-mail or fax saying they won't issue one to you remotely.

If you really CANNOT get one, explain this to the local VO and see what they say about it, but at least you should make a genuine attempt to get one first and preferably be able to provide documentation that you made the attempt.

Dear PCC is must otherwise it can affect your application, but looking at your situation what i can suggest is take a letter from embassy stating that they cannot issue PCC like this.try to get a letter if possible.
Ps: this is my personal opnion.

So, let's take the 198 figure for NOC1112. If based on PERs, it'd mean up to 7-8 May. I believe there are about 50 NOC1112 applicants thru' 7 May in the SS out of a total of 150. So, does the SS represent roughly 25% of the actual number of applications submitted (50 out of 198)? Can we conclude that it is unlikely that someone sending in an application now will be capped out (if 150 in the SS is 25% or even 16-17% of the worldwide applications)?

Roughly you can say, Applicants in SS are 30% of actual number of applicants applied around the World.
