yes...u get 15 points (3-aug-2008 to 3-july-2014 is 6 years ) (3-july-2014 to till now is 1 and half month) so it is 6+.
suppose if CIC take 3-aug-2008 to 3-aug-2014 is 6 years means then also your are eligible for 15 points because it is 6 years 10 days.

Seniors please correct me if i am wrong
If I am correct then applications are assessed based on the time they were received. That would indeed make it 13 points.

However, the language points miscalculation is beyond me !! Maybe CIC needs to use my IELTS Calculator !!!

-----------------------

Amritraj now needs to weigh his options .. is it worth it to pursue this from a legal perspective or is it better just to file another app. In my opinion filing another app is much better if the cost is acceptable. NOC is relatively empty and work experience is accepted (will give atleast 15 points this time).

-----------------------

At a later point I suppose the letter and IELTS score can be used as evidence to request a refund, on legal grounds.

-----------------------

Anyways that's me rambling on hope it helps in someway !!

Don't worry at the rate they are issuing PERs it will be very fast. The time it took them to process the 7 -13 May Apps alone, I think within same time period they can process the rest of May or maybe more !!

Amit's listening score is 6.5; so it makes his CLB actually 7. So, CIO should give him 4*4=16.??

It is not correct interpretation.
I got it now. Thanks for correcting me!

I know that this is not the right discussion forum for my question, but I wasn't able to find anywhere else where I can ask my question.

So help me guys if you can.

I am a recent immigrant to Canada, I landed on July 22nd, 2014. I am currently residing in Calgary. I am going through a job interview which requires me to go to US for 2 month training and come back to Calgary to join their Canada Team.

What Visa do I require to go to US to attend my training ? Yes you need to visa to go US.
Would attaining a B1 Visa would solve my problem? Apply for US visa but in category select B1/B2(Business/Visitor) instead of just B1. It will help you in future as well incase if you want to Visit States for entertainment. That's upto you I just gave you a suggestion. If you don't feel comfortable then just go with B1. Personally, I applied for that (B1/B2) even though I was going States for Tourism.
If not, what kind of Visa do I need to apply. I still have my final round of interview to be held but I want to be safe in case I get this opportunity.

Hope that helps.

Thanks in advance for your help.

guys need your honest answers...

1.., ielts test L-6.5,R-6.5,W-7,S-7 how much point should i get.CIO give me 20 points and as you all know my case rejected by 1 point.i was on 67 point.

2.. my NOC-1114,i joined in 03-aug-2008 present company.CIO give me 13 points for 5 years expereince.now today is 12 aug-14. is this i completed 6+ years expericence to claim 15 points in experience.thn my total will be 68....

only good thing is my noc-1114.till now have 5 application.may be 50 more under review in this noc.....
if i recollect all my docs and send new application again.it will cost me atleast 5,6 days to arrange.

whats your hope for points 1 and point 2.both are above mentioned.
Amitraj

Although the news is sad, but your situation is not. You do have enough points and your NOC is not going to fill anytime soon, nor will the overall cap.

I will go as far as saying that you needn't even send a second application. CIC already has everything you need to send them, and they are the ones who need to correct their mistake.

You have your UCI number, just contact them and let them know what the mistake is and ask them to rectify it.

Move it man. Don't say all is lost, because nothing really has. All you need is to contact CIC.

Regards

No brother, a PR do need Visa to enter USA. A person with Green Card from USA doesn't need Canadian Visa to enter Canada. The rule you are talking about was changed several years ago. Canadian Citizens doesn't need visa to enter USA as Canada is Visa exempt country for USA.

but are you sure i will get 15 points for experience now(6+ years).my joining date is 03-aug-2008.
One big positive is with your occupation as 1114, its not going to be too late. It is as cold as Canadian winters so even September may not be too late.

No one can predict for sure but try to apply asap. The only risk you have is of losing courier fee. My guess is you have a good chance if you apply within the next one month.

You can also refer the estimated cap filling date from the spreadsheet but again it is an estimation based on current trends.
