I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a skilled worker. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.

Subsection 12(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) states that a foreign national may be selected as a member of the economic class on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada. Subsection 75(1) of the regulations prescribes the Federal Skilled Worker class as a class of persons who are skilled workers and who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada.

The assessment of these requirements determines whether a skilled worker will be able to become economically established in Canada. The criteria are age, education, knowledge of Canada's official languages, experience, arranged employment and adaptability.

Amitraj, I am deeply sorry to hear these news! If you believe 100% that the visa officer had mistakenly calculated your points for language, then I advice you to appeal to the court. If you don't know a consultant who can raise this to the court I can send you the details of my consultant who has access to courts in Canada. Sorry again but fight for your case.

[size=9pt] Dear randev, There is a drastic fall in the # of apps received post May 14th and that is why even though 200 full in some hot NOCs as of May 7th / 8th it will still take a longer time for them to move from about 200 to 1000. Right now we are sitting on the PEAK period of until May 14th (and that too on the highest ever day in CIC's history of May 7th) so these #s seem magnified at this time. Wait and watch how these flatten over time! :)

@ Oscar,

I'm truly surprised at the number of applicants received in the NOC 1111 category (Auditors and accountants). Anyone who's in the business field knows that auditors and accountants are dime a dozen. Pretty much every company has an internal auditor and big 4 firms (Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ernst and Young, Deloitte, etc) employ thousands of them, even in smaller countries. Frankly, I expected 1111 to close the first. I think what happened is that since this is the first time 1111 appeared in the list in a while, many 1111s were caught off guard. They're I'm sure frantically collating application materials (ECA, IELTS, etc) and sending them now.

Pursuant to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, 2002, skilled worker applicants are assessed on the basis of the requirements set out in subsection 75(2) and the criteria set out in subsection 76(1). The assessment of these requirements determines whether a skilled worker will be able to become economically established in Canada. The criteria are age, education, knowledge of Canada's official languages, experience, arranged employment and adaptability.

Your application was assessed based on the occupation(s) in which you requested assessment. The table below sets out the points assessed for each of the selection criteria:
