If that degree is a requirement for getting a license to practice dentistry, you will get 23 points for it. Otherwise it is a bachelors and worth 21.BLUE JAY said:Hi Friends!
Please let me know how many points are allocated for Bachelors in Dental Sciences?
Thank you
Not true. In fact someone from the 8th was charged just a few days ago when we were already getting reports about 12th charges. Sometimes for unknown reasons there are delays on a few apps.Sternchen30890 said:I noticed in the spreadsheet that a lot of applicants dont go back and update their entries. They are starting charging May 13th applicants. So I am assuming everything prior to that should be charged by now.

POF
-house title
-Bank cert worth $8,000
or should i have atleast the $14,800 required amount.
thank you so much.
Don't worry. If you made it clear you are claiming points for your bachelors only, they won't reject you for not having ECA for other certificates. But you won't get points for them either, even if you could theoretically have got points for them.mountk said:I am worried after reading this as I have also done the same wid my application, i was sure that my PGDM in finance would not be recognized by WES so i only claimed points till bachelors degree. I mentioned in my supplementary sheet (not in d cover letter) that I only want to claim points till bachelors as I am not sure if my PGDM is recognized. Bachelors degree WES ECA report was attached but I had also enclosed copies of educational certificates from PGDM to HSC. But if CIC is rejecting on this basis should I get my pgdm evaluated by WES now and send it to CIC separately. I have sent my application early july so might have some time before they open the package..plz suggest.
If you have a UCI you can check ECAS. If not, the only way is to wait for PER (hopefully) or you can send them an e-mail but the response time is 30-40 days.Dev_06 said:Dear tknova,
I am 8th May applicant. I applied for PR with the help of consultant. I used DD as mode of payment. But I am unable to know whether my DD has been cashed or not.
Is there any out there by which I can verify the status of application? What are the chances that I am still in race?
Thanks in advance.

Dev

You're fine.mountk said:i did enclose WES positive ECA report in original for my bachelors degree and mentioned that i only intend to claim points only till bachelors. I never mentioned to wes about my PGDM and nor did fill details about my PGDM. I had to mention PGDM in my CIC application as otherwise there would be gap plus i would be giving incorrect details to them. and i have enclosed copies of all my education certificates from PGDM to HSC. U think it will be ok or to be sure i send them my PGDM evaluated copy from WES which for sure will not be recognized by them.

I didn't know you could do option #2. Great information for the poster. +1!shah2014 said:@ BLUE JAY
You have 2 options for ECA
1. Medical ECA (must if u r applying for Doctor specific NOC), which is done by a professional body with stringent documentation requirements and having longer process i.e. around 3-4 months minimum. FOr further details
http://mcc.ca/repository/educational-credential-assessment/
2. Regular ECA (also acceptable if u r applying for any NOC other than Doctor specific) u have option of 2 ECA agencies (i don't think 3rd i.e. WES will evaluate it) the process will take 8-10 weeks.
If you go with option 1: ur degree will be assessed as "Professional" and you will get 23 points
Option 2: will get you 21 points
Trade off: Time vs points
If CIC does match that new letter up with your original application, you will become a 14th Aug applicant.shaik321 said:Dear Friends & seniors,
Urgent suggestions needed.
My application was reached at CIC on 20th May 2014.
yesterday I found that there was date mistake in the employer reference letter. So, yesterday I sent reference letter again, by stating the reason why I am sending it again.
How they consider my application now, I will be fall under 20th May 2014 applicant or 14th Aug 2014 applicant (expected delivery date of my reference letter).
I am worried, please advise.
Regard,
Shaik

If you have a loan that you or your spouse are responsible for paying, you MUST disclose it as a liability. (You can also disclose the value of the home in your assets, if it belongs to you.)happy16 said:Dear friends,
I had a doubt, pls clarify.
I am spouse of PA. in POF we are able to show required funds from PA accounts itself (jointly in Salary-Savings and PPF A/c).
I have a home loan going on with a 20k emi. Do we necessarily need to show this!? It's not on PA name! Also we need not show statements of my account as we have required funds in PA account itself, so, pls advise!
Does showing a loan impact negatively on the application?
