I have enquired my Bank as per them my international credit limit was less which now i have incresed to 1.0 Lacs.

Is there is any way I can conatct/write them and explain my case?

Salaam brothers/sisters,

I am completing the forms, I have here some stupid questions just to clear my doubts:

1. Generic Application form

a. Regarding visa office (Question 4) - I am a Kenyan but have been residing in the UAE for the past 6.5 years and my current visa expires on December 2015 (Renewable). This means that I can choose either London visa office or Nairobi. I prefer LVO as Nairobi VO is known for taking looooong. However, my wife and son are still not residents of UAE. Can I still choose LVO or does the one year residence visa rule apply to secondary applicants as well?

b. Question 10 - My current UAE residence visa started from December 2012 and will expire Dec'15 - what do I have to fill in the "From" Section? date of my current visa or date of my previous visa when i first came to UAE?

c. Is NID a mandatory documents? my wife has one but for my case, I have applied for a replacement as there was wrong DOB and the process would take months

2. Background/Declaration

d. Question 12 (Addresses) - Do I have to fill the addresses of my short visits to other countries? (i.e few days visits as completed in the Travels form?)
- My wife's house doesn't have a house number? Can I leave it blank?

3. Schedule 3 Economic classes

d. Question 7 C (My wife's language) - She speaks English but she didn't take the IELTS. If I tick yes, it is asking for evidence and if I tick NO it will be a lie as in the Generic form, I have selected English as her language. What is the best solution?

4. General

My Name is Mohamed but some people write it as Mohammed, Muhammed, Mohammad, Mohamad etc e.g in my contract of employment with my current company, it shows Mohammad but in my reference letter, they have written correctly. Do I need affidavit for this?

a.. Yes, all the visits are suggested.
b. U still neeed to enter an address, but u can write Village/City and country only (for this case).

3. Schedule 3 Economic classes

d. Absolutely not, they will not ask for IELTS. Just choose English without any hesitation.

4. General

U can make an affidavit along with this u can also add a cover letter for the changes of this name with ur PP...This are acceptable from CIC end...

Want to share with you that my later sent document was added to my original application and confirmation on the same has been sent to me.

I added a cover letter after I had sent my original application. This cover letter (to explain a reference letter issue) was couriered to CIC after about 45 to 50 days of my original application courier date. I had also scanned the same cover letter and sent an email to CIO mentioning that an additional courier via tracking # so and so will be in CIO by XYZ date and it needs to be added as a cover letter to my original application (with UCI # 12345678, as I had UCI from last year) that was received on ABC date for NOC category XXXX and my date of birth is LMN and passport # is GHI etc. etc.

Today I received an email response from CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca saying that "Correspondence received and added to your file. You will be contacted further in due course. Thank you."

I would still assume that sending an incomplete application and expecting that anything would be added to file later might not happen. Also, there is a risk that the application receive date also moves back to the date of the later sent document. I realize in my case the later sent document was not really significant as my fee was charged by the time my second courier reached CIC (actually while it was in transit) so they were not really too fussy about the explanation given in my cover letter sent later.

PS - I hope too many people do NOT start sending additional material in hopes that it will get added, because they might set themselves for disappointment. This could be a one off case (because you all know very well LOL I am a one off guy) Just thought of sharing this anyway!!!

Hi ananjay! i have also a query about POF. i also have a property like a house name under my name but its still under houseloan. should it be included also in POF? and a bannk certificate less than the required amount of $14,800. would that be fine?

or should i have atleast the $14,800 required amount.

Thank you so much ashif_eee. You are truly helpful. Just to clear my doubt again on the Background declaration. I have listed all my travels in the travels form and all of them are few days visits (Maximum 20 days). Do I still have to complete details of where I stayed in those days (hotels) in the Background/declaration form? as I don't even remember names of some of the hotels where I stayed or room numbers

In cases where people have two post graduate secondary credentials.. their Canadian Equivalence Summary explicitly states "A' and 'B' (can somebody who's got a ECA Summary like this pls confirm ?)

I would suggest you immediately write to WES.. check/ ask your Summary to mention both the Credentials ( Degree A and Diploma B). And if they have a valid for reason for not showing both in the Summary so be it 8)

I suspect CIO will award you points by looking at the Summary and Not the underlying constituents- Analysis (in which case you will have to settle with 21 points - Bachelor's Degree (four years) ) The whole reason CIC introduced ECA last year was to save their Processing time in Analyzing the Canadian Equivalence Summary of foreign education credentials.

People have their own/ different basis for 21 or 22 points but None of us here represents either WES or CIO. Its their decision which is final and binding 8)

People here are saying different things, now if you are saying its 21 then could you let me know on what basis have you come to that calculation?

Summary althought does not show it, but it shows two canadian equivalence...

So what do you think, 22 or 21 ? Because if 22 I can send application as I get exact 67/100 but if 21 then I am short of 1 point. 66/100. ?
