cic seems really fµcked up if it can't issue per as well as charge fee - both in parallel, on a given day. how on earth were they planning on processing 25k applications in a year's time? clearly, someone up there doesn't know how to run a show. this stinks bad :-X

Doesn't seem like a good country to immigrate to. What say you ? ;)

Ten weeks past since you lodged the application, so you can send an enquiry to the email address.
You will get a response in 30-40 days.

Thnks. Can u plz tell the email address and what should be mentioned in the email for my application's identification ? is there any specific format ?

Also i can't understand one thing that how CIC is doing the application processing, that, if previous dates applications (like 8th May, DD, in my case) havn't been charged then how have they started charging later dates applications (13th May ,CC, as mentioned in a previous post )?? Is it some kind of procedure or does it mean that all the previous applications hav been rejected ? does anyone hv any idea abt it?

Write your names and address on A4-sized paper......one in English or French while the second one in your native language of where you are residing.
The two copies to be included in your application package.
No envelopes or stamps needed.
Cheers.

On WES evaluation

If let's say a person has a PhD degree, then everyone agrees he/she shall get 25 points. Now, there could still be 2 cases as far as WES evaluation is concerned. The person might...

1. Submit only PhD credentials, and the WES evaluation summary would read Canadian Equivalency : PhD (25 points).
2. Submit PhD, Masters, and Bachelor credentials, and the WES evaluation summary would still read the same although listing each of the three individually in detail. They assume (or evaluate) that the rest of the subordinate degrees are the requirements for this higher degree (PhD) here. Again, only 25 points, not any more.

Now, there could be cases where people have done multiple diplomas, multiple Bachelors, multiple Masters, or even multiple PhDs (:-X). In these cases, one more point could be scored, as long as those degrees are mutually exclusive, i.e. they should not be the requirements for one another.

In your case, Diploma in Industrial Electronics is separate than the Bachelor in Computer Engineering, but the diploma is of duration 2 years, rather than stipulated three years for 22 points. Hence, you will get 21 points based on the WES summary.

Regards

This is all wrong. First, 25 points is maximum, nobody gets more than that :-\ A person with multiple Master's will still get 23 points, bcos two masters != PhD. But person with multiple Bachelor's can earn 22 points instead of 21.

Second, you are forgetting the bachelor diploma — it is those "stipulated three years".

Dude .. you have to understand that it is an institution with a budget and a certain number of employees that they pay for doing these tasks.

That considered they have to comb through thousands of applications (applications which took you weeks or months to prepare).

They first check if you have a complete application, because well no point charging money if application is incomplete. On the other hand there is no point in doing detailed analysis of your application if they will not be able to charge it.

Keep in mind that this process is thought out and streamlined over several years and not developed over night.

All that said, there is always room for improvement and well that is why Expression of Interest with online applications is coming in 2015.

I never said one can score more than 25. The complete list is shown here at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/ECA_table_EN.pdf

I just tried to explain what happens in case of multiple (unrelated) credentials. Which is, that one can get one extra point (22 instead of 21).

it looks like CIC is looking at our fswp 2014 charge date estimates and start processing application. Could we change the spreadsheet entry for July 14th little earlier :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
