DD and CC charging happen simultaneously. The only difference is the time it takes for the applicant to know he has been charged the application fees.

Hey there,
POF (proof of funds) statement is supposed to be from your bank.
The bank would have their own formats. But in short it should summarize that you the current savings amount and your average amount for the last 6months. In this way, the POF is more evident, that the amount account for proof, is not a temporary one. I hope you understand what i mean.

And i would suggest you to hold the money in the savings account till you land in Canada, as the rule can change or you can be questioned anytime. Be prepared for that situation as well.

Thanks.

Glad to see the showering of the PER mails.. Congrats for all those who got it and Best wishes for those who expect to get it.. :)

Well I am still in preparation of my package and waiting for ECA from WES (So, fingers crossed and need your wises/prayers). I dont know if I would meet the CAP for 2171, because that the NOC I qualify and have been working as a Information Consultant for about 8 years.

My question or rather clarification is on POF (Proof of Funds)

I checked in the forum and for 3 Members its $18,097 CAD, which is around 10.5 lacs in Indian Rupees. I have asked my dad to transfer it to my account and some I had in Policies which I took on and will be moving to my Savings Account which is in SBH (State Bank of Hyderabad).

Do I need to hold this sum of 10.5 lacs in my account till I land in Canada or till I get PER for Visa interview .. till when ?

Should the POF letter show the amount equivalent in Canadian dollar as well..Any one has any format, that would be of a great help.

**THIS FORUM IS SIMPLY OUTSTANDING**

Shahid

Hi everyone,
we have a new idea proposed by PinguimGuy regarding a possible improvement to the default spreadsheet sorting order, and we'd like to discuss it :)
In my opinion, this idea looks really good and is worthy to be the new default sorting order:
Keep applications sorted by their status as it is right now, but inside each status, sort by a different column:
For "At CIO" applications, sort by App.received date in descending order.
For "Payment charged" applications, sort by Fee Encashed Date, in descending order.
For "PER Received" applications, sort by PER Received Date, etc.

I've implemented a Filter View, which demonstrates the proposed sorting order exactly as described:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11gAbKSoDoOr1s8_raB1qwz0i-ZH0NyNWhhn18O6kHwQ/edit#gid=1627896255&fvid=1141630743
This link sorts properly only when current number of viewers is less than 50, so here's also a screenshot, just in case (clickable):

This way we can see all the news for a particular status right away, and this is exactly the question so many people often ask here. For example, all newly charged applications are at the top of the "Payment charged" section, and by looking at their received date you can easily see that CIC is currently processing payments for May 12 applications, and that some May 8-9 applications are still being processed as well.
You can also easily see that we have our first May 7 applicants with PER, - they are at the top of PER received section.
Similarly, all newly transferred applications are at the top of "File Transferred" section. Etc.

The old default sorting order among applications of the same status is by NOC. I remember, it was because we wanted to be able to count how many applications there are per each NOC. However, now there are so many applications in many different statuses that the usefulness of sorting by NOC looks unclear anymore. It seems easier to just check the "Apps by NOC" sheet rather than counting this manually.

If we approve the new sorting order, the old one will be accessible via Filter Views, in case anyone still needs it.

In my opinion, this sorting order is really much more useful than the old one, but I'd like to hear opinions of our forum members on this.
If you support it, or in case you have any objections or other better ideas, please tell.
If there are no objections, I can make this the default sorting order :)

Sorry to bother you with my question as it seems I have started very lately. I am considering to apply under 2133 (Elec and Etron Engr) in the 1st week of August. In the meantime I have been researching the messages in the forum and have come up with concerns from the messages

Hello

Guys.. i want an expert opinion... I have sent my application on 28th May for NOC 2133.

when can I expect to hear from CIC, is it going to be during last week of June?

The latest CAP shows 5 only in this category... when do you think the cap reach?

Based on the recent calculation taking hot NOC into account, our spreadsheet records only 7% of the total world applications.

for civil, mechanical, electrical engineers, 2131,2132,2133 respectively they are birds with same feathers flocking together..

say for electrical 5/0.07 = 71.. as of now got PER, approximately at the most possible way filled.

So range for our kinda birds will be from 70 to 130 as of now having PER..

Applications send in the 2nd and 3rd week of May for our birds will easily make it to the nest .. I don't see a problem for applications sent until mid of June for our NOCs

So does it seem to have very little hope for me if I apply in the mid of August. What is your opinions?
I can consider "2241 Electronics technologist and technician" also as it matches my duties by 50-60%. However WES recognizes my MSc. Therefore, can I apply as a technician/technologists as it's entry requirements is only diploma?

Guys please help.

[size=9pt] fsw_toronto isn't particularly senior and I always take side (of facts), when necessary, because any ignorant guy shouldn't be scaring other's simply because of his lack of knowledge combined with eagerness to answer. Most people come here because they have a doubt and when a wrong information is given confidently that further scares the person who asked the question and / or creates unnecessary confusion to a lot others (who know that the opposite is in fact true) like in this DD case. I don't really poke my nose but try and provide the correct information to end the confusion. I don't know any one here from before; and have hardly ever exchanged any message with fsw_toronto in particular. But if a senior is correct, do you intend I should take sides of the person who is wrong? That won't be right, brother! :)

If you are going to continue to hold a grudge for something that took place 2 or so months ago then that is certainly not my problem. It however reminds me of a TV soap where 2 classmates meet up after 15 years and one guy tells the other that he has been getting laid with girls for like forever and has scored like a 1000 girls just because he was teased as a kid 15 years ago for being shy. Is that how you want to behave? Honestly that is how it seems you are acting now. If you and I haven't had much interaction for 2 months please do not 'poke your nose' to tell me anything about my tone / language. I'd request you that. Point is speak for self, and definitely do that as that's your right. But don't start a union here for God's sake!

2 months ago you were actually scaring people with your post that finding a job is difficult / scary etc. and many people objected to your saying that. You can go and look back if you need to re-check. Several folks asked you to refrain, I recall. Though I am not going back to those pages to prove a point. I have nothing against you at all, and I like a few things about you. But scaring others to let them know that you have found out that job finding in Canada is rather difficult is not appreciated by a lot of folks here who's first hurdle is to get through PR, and they don't need to know from you (or get scared by you) on job search challenges just yet. I hope you are getting what I am trying to say, aav. Because I am not trying to attack you but merely pointing the shortcoming of your approach back then, that so many objected to very clearly in the forum. Being a senior member here I would try and think even for the weakest of guys here, before I start sharing a scary picture. I think I owe that responsibility when people have shown a lot of love to me here.

You are the one trying group-ism here and accuse others of that. There is something seriously wrong with that! ::)

Once again, I thank you for the note. However I certainly don't need you to tell me about my language / tone when we hardly communicate. I don't tell you to do things a certain way and I don't want you to try and fill my shoes for me. Cheers!

oscar7 - Those who you think like you can also see your arrogance and inappropriate gesture on the board. If nobody speaks up openly does not mean they all approve your tone.

for records, Yes - you did mess up with me also unnneccessarily about 2 months ago. People can lookup past thread as an evident to see all the back and forth and who was unnecessarily rude.

You ask me to Speak for myself and not others. I have seen you poking nose always in other peoples conflicts, but you do that only when you see a fellow senior boarder involved, and you immediately want to take side of senior boarder. Isn't that speaking for others. The only different between you and me though I choose to speak for a fellow boarder irrespective of his rank.

Is this some kind of gropism that is going on here?

aav, I think you should not mind what oscar7 writes or says. I have not even read his long messages but i know by now he must have written some nonsense again.. He has nothing else to do and so he keeps writing all mess here with his silly attitude. In real life(and also here) he must be loser having no friends and bad relations with everybody. people must be ignoring him all the time as nobody likes him, he cant confront anyone in real life so he just needs some place where he can mess around and feel important(to himself).

now after reading my comment, his bottom will burn a lot and he will start jumping, crying and continue his nonsense even more and now when he does this, dont feel pity for him..
just ignore him and leave him alone...!!
Good luck with your process :)

Oscar - I agree with you on most of the things and I know for a fact that you put-in your best effort to help people but (again this is just my personal thought), sometimes your rumor is not accepted (or rather well understood) by the other person and from that point on everything goes for a toss. All I am trying to say is that everyone has a different intellectual level and might not be in a state of mind to accept jokes/ rumors when it comes to a serious topic like immigration.

The other day this "Rohit" guy became agitated when I told him that what he is saying is not correct despite the fact that my own DD has been issued for 3 months. I came to know about this DD thing only after I visited this forum. In a nutshell, there will always be people who will be against you and in-favor of you. But definitely - you are one of the biggest contributor in making this platform a success. Cheers buddy!

Regards,
Shahid
- First thing: If you are getting your Parents to transfer funds in your account and in bulk, the respective Credit entry in your account statement may raise a flag to the VO assessing your application. The reason is because this may seem like you may have 'borrowed' the amount (even if it was from your dad) and that is a negative. Its my suggestion to you.

- You need to show the POF in your account during application and anytime in the future as requested by the VO. The important thing to understand is if you deposit 5 Lacs today and submit your application 2 weeks later; the VO may ask you to justify the amount (as explained in Point 1).

- You can include a Certificate of Bank statement from your Bank in Canadian equivalent or submit bank statements from past 3 months or so or you could do both.
