Brother, I checked it again. It took me at most 3 second to open 3095 page and it is taking around 12 seconds to open page 3096. I am not an IT specialist. Being an IT specialist, what could be the reason you think?Jaxon911 said:While I appreciate humor, some of these posts sounds rather insulting.
I do not see how that bit of HTML code can cause whole page fail to load. I had issues with several pages as well, including some of those on which I did not have any posts. If my code that is breaking the page, then it's poor programming by the forum developers. I have had many posts on many pages, all of those I've checked are loading fine for me now so may be it was temporary glitch on the server. Whatever it is, I do not wish to act in response to insulting posts. For those who follow American date format, I'd like to clarify, 911 in the UK date format means Nov/9 (or 11/9 in US date format)!

I have reduced the size of the image, may be the server was taking too long to download the image. May be it'll make a difference. It's loading for me in a 1 sec now.Century said:Brother, I checked it again. It took me at most 3 second to open 3095 page and it is taking around 12 seconds to open page 3096. I think, problem is not with the HTML code. It is the size of image (flag), it is importing, causing delay in page loading. He has changed the flag image, page should load faster now. I am also in agreement with both of you, we should avoid unnecessary burden on the forum and shall keep it to simple text for more friendly usage.Century said:Brother, I checked it again. 1. Without your even asking for it I had sent you PM yesterday itself to CLARIFY that humor needs to be taken as humor ONLY. There was no attempt to insult you or anyone else, as you too are a valued member here, and we thought it is okay to joke around brother Jaxon. Nothing insulting about it when it clearly says it is a joke / kidding. If it hurts you, I say I am sorry! But trust me it was all in good fun. We like you for the value you add to this forum.
2. More than 10 people confirmed the problem yesterday and we specifically pointed the page #s. Please note those page #s were for yesterday and the sequence changed post deleting some threads as subsequent threads moved to the prior page. Several senior members wrote to me in person as well. Most importantly this page that we are on now (i.e. right now) was working just fine until you posted on it now. After this post of yours it is showing loading issues and getting stuck up. It is very clear what the problem is. So I request you to help us and not cause inconvenience to all. Am I really asking for a lot here? You tell me brother!
So please help us all. Thank you!
I personally encourage to do something new - it added spices. But if the spice is too hot, it need to be reacted quickly rather remain stubborn.jpn said:I think, problem is not with the HTML code. Good to know what you'd have done if you were me. Unfortunately, I do not have time to go thru the process you've specified. Besides, I'm not a tester, I don't perform UAT. It was bit of patience is what members could have shown. I saw one person reported this issue which wasn't sufficient for me to act. And after that I was offline (or fugitive as some members defined) so I didn't really have a chances to do anything. Hopefully, with the new image in place it all should be fine.Century said:Brother, surprise to see you are 2171!!!!
Do you understand UAT? Do you give value what the user said? Do you think, so many people is just joking after hell lot of praising?
If I were you, I were you, I would test in the following way:
Step 1: Create another account.
Step 2: Would record time how long it take with the page with flag and without flag using my new account.
Step 3: Compare it with the clients' feedback.
Step 4: if found true, I would remove my flag.
There is nothing wrong in learning.
Also remember the famous rule:
Rule 1: Customer is always right
Rule 2: If customer is wrong, check rule number 1.
For your case, Customer is your client.
