I am 21 July applicant, i just want to know that if my dd get expired before it enchased, what will cic do in that case. my dd(Issued by State bank of Patiala, India on 10th July) is going to expire on 10th oct as per bank officials.

is there anybody sure about the validity period of a draft issued by SBI India?

I m worried about it. plzz help me on this...

Don't worry. DD is the safest mode. You can send email to sbican@sbicanada.com to check the status of your DD but since currently CIC is processing applications received on 9th May, 12th May, hence it will take another month or two before they start processing applications received in July. I was also told validity of SBI draft as 3 months but mine got encashed before 3 months.

You need about CAD $14,720. Convert into INR accordingly.
It would be around 8.3-8.4 Lakhs.

Pls. dont worry ... we have sent this draft in terms of canadian currency....& this 3 mnth validation for only inside India , indian currency cheque & cash..... so we are safe as our drafts are in canadian dollar & for canadian immigration where RBI rules are not applicable. You can check with your bank for the same validity is for 6 mnths....

The address is different in your case. However try this number: +1 416-214-1811 and ask them to transfer to someone who can help find out DD status. Alternatively send an email to sbican @ sbicanada.com to check the DD status. Good Luck!

[size=9pt] Both might be the same address, one in the form of a street address and another in the form of PO Box address. Just google the phone # / email like Rohit did (can even try using Rohit's provided SBI address) and chase with those guys. Or Rohit can share / PM you the exact steps (e.g. whether he got the answer over email or needed phone follow ups etc. etc.) that got him the results.

Confirm with your higher officials
Normally dd is valid for 5 months (nationally) and 6 months for international
As I send dd from hdfc , I hope same applies for each bank

I'm about to apply under 2173 NOC and due to my credential assesment, I would be able to send a complete application in the 2nd week of September. Do you think that there's a chance for me? I mean with the current trend for 2173 would still be opened by then?

Issue is wid second copy of IELTS score report for me and my spouse, as these were submitted wid my application. IDP is refusing to send another copy to me and my spouse. Hi... I am the primary Applicant having both Surname and Given name in the passport.
But my husband have only the Given Name mentioned on the passport and all the certificates.
Can anyone suggest me will stating Surname as 'Himanshu' will work? and in Given name as not Applicable.

Also let me know the link in CIC website where I can refer the same for confirmation?
