[size=9pt] That wasn't the point. The point was you were spreading incorrect information here that Indian banks only provide 3 months DD due to RBI regulations. Incomplete knowledge is a dangerous thing!

I dont agree on your point about spreading incorrect information! I feel that you are unneccesarily putting comments about spreading incorrect information. The fact remains what I already shared! Well, incomplete knowledge is certainly a dangerous things and it applies to all.

All international DDs are valid for 6 months.. Customer care always says that DDs are valid only for 3 months but that is for domestic DDs.. not the international once.. Since very few people make international DDs .. Hence they would have not known about the validity..

Buddy, Dont get panic....Check the below Oscar's post....Customer cares sometimes provide wrong info regarding the DD....It is happening same on BD for the standard Chartered bank...

Had almost given up hope and started preparations for reapplying just yesterday!!! 8)

Now the wait for PER starts

All the best everyone... Also the logic of an 8th may applicant getting charged so late after 9 to 12th May applications... stmups me!

The way you have commented shows your frustration and not mine!! Feeling is mutual and same advise applies to you too! Everyone who has a 3 months DD also got it made from Bank and didnt produce it in-house!

Well , i have a concern with CIC , Given their current speed - i believe that this year file will be Processed with Delay .

PER is being sent after 45 days of encashment in average and I have hardly seen any activity by local VO's ( AOR) other than ottawa.

Its almost 3 months for this year fsw and still first week applicants not recived PER.. ??? ??? ??? :-X :-X
