Hi

I am planning to apply for FSW 2014 under NOC4011. At present I do not have all the necessary papers. So I have to apply in September (around 2nd week). I am confused about the number of applications already accepted and the probable number of applications in queue. Is there any possibility of my application being accepted if I apply so late?

Hi,

My brother is in canada and he is now on post graduate work permit. Should i need to mention his travel in IMM 5562 Document.

Hi,
Any CC/DD charged for 9th May?

Dear All,

If principal applicant completes the landing formalities and comes back. After that, while principal application is not present in Canada, Can Dependants Land alone (while PA IS NOT IN CANADA)

Thanks.

God Bless.

Your brother is neither your dependant nor your family. You don't need to mentioned about his travels. You are supposed to write your, your spouse's or your children's travel if they are 18years +.
Read the Guide 7000, it explains everything including what family is.

Hi seniors,

Can some body please clarify below points.

1) I am unable to get birth certificate as i born before 1989 and there is no record with them. I have been trying since 2 months and no result. so is it ok if we submit notary affidavit along with passport photo copy or tenth certificate. ???

2) Do we need to notarize photo copies of experience letters as well???

Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Sampath

Hello,

1.Tenth/SSC/Secondary School certificate is perfectly fine, provided it contains all of the below information:

-your full name
-Your parents' name
-Your DOB

2. Notarization is not mandatory for any documents other than translated documents.

All the best!

Its NOC 0013 - job title Employment Agency General Manager. I've worked in the HR consulting service business for 6 years now, and in the past 3 years, I managed my own company. One of the reasons why I had to set up a company is that our client needs tax invoices. This is a one-member company limited so I work full-time as a normal employee. How can I prove my work experience? Your advice please, bros and sis.

---------

Anyone helps me please? I posted my question below twice but it seems no one saw it Cry

Hi, I'm new here and I need your advice pls. I set up my own company 3 years ago in the business services and I wanna apply for an occupation in the NOC list using my experience in the last 3 years. At my company, I am the legal rep, director and team member as well as I work hard just as other team members of mine: dealing with and servicing clients. Will my experience be considered to be PAID work experience? Many thanks.

Firstly NOC 00XX is for "SENIOR MANAGERS" means higher senior level in the company unlike general manager or so. You may not qualify this NOC.

As you have 6 years of exp in HR consulting company, and I hope that was full time paid job. was it ?
If yes that will do it. You can gain points for NOC 0112 (HR manager) if you qualify other parameters such as education, age, IELTS etc. 0112 is not a hot NOC anyways so you will make it.

For your own business, you can write general duties as you do in general.

Include a COVER LETTER stating that you worked full time paid as HR Manager for 6 years and started your own business so you have written the current work position in your own company letterhead with your own designation and sign.

So I am focusing more on the 6 years exp which you already have previous to your own business.

I hope that make sense ....

That is fine no Issues.

Thanks @plikhi for your reply... I was really worried as I have read in a forum over internet that

"If some one has not mention about his temporary resident visa rejection to any other country in the application form then there are chances for the rejection of VISA application"

I need some help regarding the name in Generic application form 'coz I am not using "Surname" in the passport. Should I write complete Given Name in the Surname and leave the GIven Name field blank? or can it be like a part of Given Name in Surname field and the rest in Given Name?

Hi , here is the answer to your question, as found on CIC website :

What do you mean by surname?

Your surname is your family name. It is sometimes called your “last name.” If your name is spelled differently on your official documents, please write your name as shown in your passport. When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document or any letters you got from the visa office or case processing centre where you sent your application (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.

If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the given name field.

I think all applicants should read Application Guide 7000 at least once if not 7K times... It is the most helpful document for filing application.......
For things one doesn;t understand, use google translator for english to native language translation. Even after that if one doesn't understand then forum is the place to clear the doubts...

My application was received on July 17 at 10:00 AM (NOC 2174). Can the moderator update the spreadsheet ? It seems the link to update the spreadsheet is lost forever unless we save it in a bookmark.

Hi forum mates

I'm a 7th May applicant but not received any e-mail from CIC yet, although my CC was charged one month ago. Do you think it's alright to contact them and ask about my application? because it's more than 10 weeks I sent my application. Does anybody have experience of contacting them recently?

Thanks

If you have UCI number from a previous application you can try the below method:

Thanks

Dear All

I have asked my supervisor to provide me a reference letter on company letter head for which he did but the job responsibility he have mentioned in the letter is not in his own word.

Its a bit generic description available on websites which previously mentioned by my HR in the (contract letter) , i have asked him to write my responsibility in his own words but he refused . He said, i will only mentioned the job description / responsibilities which are defined by HR in contract letter.

Please guide if it is OK , because the description / responsibility seems OK ,but what is acceptable by CIC ???

In this situation , you are safe if your letter meets the below criteria:

1. The duties were not directly copied and pasted from NOC website

2. The duties that were written on the letter are in alignment ( consensus is ideally 60-80%) with the duties mentioned on the NOC website for your intended occupation

All the best!
