It is always better to send as much supporting documentation (relevant) as possible than not sending and later realize it is the reason for rejection...

Actually it is always better to follow the document checklist, and the document in question is required as per the checklist. Failure to include it is an automatic rejection.

Can answer some of your questions
Ans for 3: Yes please wait till you get PER
Ans for 5: You can use any other method, DD or some other bank card or your new card after its expiry. No issues there at all.

Thanks k_b for taking time to answer. Both your answer match what was my best guess, and I now feel more positive !! Thanks again, Cheers

Wish every of u have a successful dream to live on the land of maple leaf country very soon.. :D

Can someone please delete my entries in the Spreadsheet, its double because my husband did this already under his account
Thank you!!!!!

future_Canadian: My post was a real long one, and someone as senior as you, takes time to read through and help answer each question thoroughly, speaks for how full of gratitude you are - always looking to help people. First of all, thanks for that attitude. Keep it up !

All your answers guide me well on what to do, what to expect. Thanks

However, my PCC for trip to US for 5 months and some 20+ days, you mentioned I wait for VO to guide me whether or not they need PCC from US. Isn't it a requirement to send this anyway for trips 6 months or more, or is it that it needs to be sent only if VO asks for it? Remember I said on my form the trip was for 6 months.

Bro in point 4. Just a little more to add. If PA does it landing first and then come back to India without PR card he cannot enter Canada again. If he wishes to Canada again then he has apply for Travel Document or can enter Canada through US-Canada land border. Just to plan landing your Single entry visa will have expiry date exactly one from your medical is done. So you will have enough time to land. Amendment has been made in Citizenship rules. need to stay in Canada 1460 days (4 out of 6 year) to get eligible to apply for citizenship. Bill C-24 got passed in parliament recently. This rules will get in action within 1 year.

4011 University professors and lecturers...Can a Instructor from animation school apply under this category..

Main duties mentioned are as below and i fulfill it:

University professors and lecturers perform some or all of the following duties:
Teach one or more university subjects to undergraduate and graduate students
Prepare and deliver lectures to students and conduct laboratory sessions or discussion groups
Prepare, administer and grade examinations, laboratory assignments and reports
Advise students on course and academic matters and career decisions
Direct research programs of graduate students and advise on research matters
Conduct research in field of specialization and publish findings in scholarly journals or books
May serve on faculty committees dealing with such matters as curriculum planning and degree requirements, and perform a variety of administrative duties
May represent their universities as speakers and guest lecturers
May provide professional consultative services to government, industry and private individuals.

University professors and lecturers specialize in a particular subject matter such as biology, chemistry, anatomy, sociology, business administration or law.
I guess if duties match u should be good.
Although, the last line confused me though "University professors and lecturers specialize in a particular subject matter such as biology, chemistry, anatomy, sociology, business administration or law."

Not sure. Anyone in the group who can answer

Not getting any idea how cic is picking up the files of a perticular date..a per ss i hv seen 96 applicants on 8 th may and out of tht 56 got charged in tht 53 was cc and three DD..and 40 applications pending in tht also 18 cc and 22 DD ..i hv noticed tht majority of files of 7 th also pending for DD paymant ppl.is tht coz the delay in information gettg to DD ppl from banks/cic/ecas..or do cic really ignore DD applications..i m confused..
Besides the time is also not a factor i thk the cc bring charged in a random basis for same day..
All assumptions...

All assumptions...

2 factors for DD:

1. Time lag: It takes around 3 days to 15 days to get informed by Bank that DD has been encashed. So DD applicants are always lagging behind.

2. Non-information : Many banks don't entertain request from clients on informing DD encashment. Example, Standard Chartered Bank of our country just deny knowing anything of DD encashment.

This is why, until PER is completed or ECAS updated, for DD customers, many don't know whether DD actually has been encashed. This is why you will find always higher number of CC charged than DD encashment.

Hi Guyz,

Do the law enforcement agency take the finger print and provide the FD-258 card in a sealed envelope? I checked with SCRB chennai and they said they will not provide it in a sealed envelope. They will just take the finger print on the card and stamp it with their seal. Would that be sufficient? Please adv as I am going to take the finger print tomorrow.

CC charged on 06/17/2014.
Sorry for the delay, guys.

Normally nobody provide the sealed envelope for finger print. They take ur finger print on the FD-258 card and give it to you.
You have to fill the details like name, eyecolor, height, etc . Send the card to the FBI with credit card information. Thats it.
