CONGRATS!!!! We will await for the party news!! :P It can't be just with PINOY group friends, haha!!!
:)

If they charged CC today for app sent on May 9th, then it means approx PER processing time of 10 weeks! That's fairly long but 4 weeks gone since my app reached CIO on 23rd, so only 6 more weeks to wait and see if it gets in the CAP and if I have or haven't goofed anything up!

I actually posted it here first :-) we are all in this together, wherever we come from... important thing is we're all going to the same destination haha!

I really hope CIC speeds things up!

Hello all
my application was received June 6th. From the trend of things, when do you think CIC may begin to open June's mails? I guess end of August..... :'(

future_canadian, thanks for your reply. Just to be clear, the instructions for the travel history form specifically EXCLUDE travel to country of origin (India for me). My lawyer wants me to show India travel under addresses in the Schedule A form. I would normally have over-ruled him since this sounds extreme, BUT (a) this is advice from a top immigration law firm, and (b) he cautioned me one of his clients got a rejection for not showing it.

That is ridiculous. There are two separate items, the travel history and the addresses section in background information. If they wanted the exact same information in both, they wouldn't have two separate sections. Your brief visits home are not addresses, they are just travel.

I suppose if you got lucky and spend the night in your girlfriend's flat your lawyer would suggest you list that as an address for one night? ::)

Thank you very much Pipis Husband, for your reply. To be clear, he said not to include this in the Supplementary Info (Travel) form, but under "Addresses" in the Schedule A Form - is that correct?

Also, I live in Qatar and travel to India several times a year, sometimes just for the weekend to see my parents. In each such instance, he said I should show my Qatar address, followed by my India address, and again my Qatar address to show that I returned from the trip. So this will be a very very long list. I can do it, but is it really what CIC wants? The form instruction is "list all addresses where you have LIVED... in the past 10 years". But I'm just visiting my parents briefly, not living there!

Congrats Deb..

Again, terrific info.

But I was not suggesting using COPR to enter Canada in lieu of a PR card. I was suggesting that someone from a country that does not need a visa to enter Canada can enter and leave at their leisure while waiting for a PR card, while someone on a single entry visa must stay in Canada to wait for a card.

Am I correct?

Fair enough, I tend to follow the instructions of attorneys, you should do the same... and good luck.

Hello , for June 6th applicants the estimated date for CC charge is October 10th, 2014 according to the spreadsheet below:

http://tinyurl.com/FSW14-Spreadsheet

Note:

1. The estimation has been quite accurate so far

2. The estimation is a very carefully crafted analysis based on historical data/trend

3. Your CC may be charged earlier provided the processing times improve momentarily, check the chart time to time

Thanks. Good luck
