You are right buddy in my case the tracking is more difficult as i Hired a Lawyer for consultation so the only result which i will see is PER or return of my file so i am expecting PER thing by mid September

Don't you have a UCI number? I have heard you can track using a UCI. Since I have produced a DD, I can only check my ECAS using UCI only after 20th of August. I am giving myself a timeline till last week of august to hear from CIC.

BTW, who is your consultant/lawyer?

I am new to this forum...just need ur help for immigration file preparation.
Is it ok to prepare file yourself....as i am first time applying for any kind of immigration...
I have my degree transcript and all the documents ready...
I contacted many immigration consultants in Delhi and they are charging 80,000Rs for the whole process....so littele bit confused about taking immigration consultant help or i should apply myself..

Pls help me in this matter and give ur inputs...

But you can do it yourself, and get advice from this forum. Though remember no matter how much advice you get, ultimately it is your application and I suggest you read the Guide, document checklist and other information from CIC very carefully to make sure your application is correct and complete.

Good suggestion buddy hier an Canadian Lawyer they will charge more but they remain realistic and suggest you more better then Indian Immigration consultants these are my personal views only

Some of the reasons for rejections from previous years compiled by a forum member:

Incomplete Application, educational documents not submitted with ECA. IELTS was older than 2 year at the time of submission but applicant claimed expiry was 9th July.
Used old Schedule 3 form
Self Attested duties rejected by CIC, Reapplied on 6th Sep
Insufficient Work Experience Proof
Sent Photocopy of ECA report instead of original
Submitted old Schedule 3 Form, Reapplied on 10/9/2013
Did not meet the requirements of Regulation 10 of IRPA
Did not mention "VISA office name" in Generic Form and did not submit Additional Family information Form
Submitted old Schedule 3 form.
Used old Schedule 3 form
Job Description does not match with NOC
Incomplete Application ( waiting for mail from CIC to know what exactly is missing)
Used old schedule 3 form, Birth Certificate copy & ECA report not submitted.(The user informed that the birth certificate copy was submitted & there in the returned doc set)
Job experience mismatch with NOC
Birth Certificate issued by High Commission of India in Mauritius not accepted by CIC

Not at all. If you have the settlement funds that is all that's required.

I have a nomination letter for pnp visa from nova scotia and i have also applied for fsw 2014 file reached on 9 june under noc 2174 computer programmer.
I recieved my nomination last week
My question is can i go with both the applications pnp and fsw both

As i believe pnp is much faster than fsw my visa office is new delhi

Yes you can continue with both but at some stage you will be requested to withdraw one of the applications. For now, just stand pat.

Thanks for the reply Oscar. So that means I was given a UCI number that time. I think the numbers which I have on the stamps are file numbers. All 4 numbers are different n starting with S0....... So do you think CIC will still have my record of student visa rejection in January 2008. I did not mention any UCI number in the form because I dont know whether I have one or not... My application reached CIC on 9th june 2014. What should I do now.....

CIC will have your rejections on record and they will find your UCI by matching up your name and date of birth.

You don't need to do anything, your application is just fine. Just wait for your response from CIC. Good luck.

He has an Indian BC but which has both his parents name but not his name. Will this be accepted?
If not, what additional docs does he needs to submit along with the same?

I do had the same issue. I have submitted Affidavit declaring the BC is of mine wherein name is not mentioned ,
